Family ties are really strong and wonderful

in #family2 years ago

The family is a social unit and it is especially important to get used to proving yourself and not only yourself in heated discussions at the dinner table.

Many believe that everyone in the family has the right to know everything about the other and that privacy is not only a taboo, but a direct challenge to their very existence. They are constantly challenging each other to find answers to questions about their relatives, etc.

Families also tend to push participation in ceremonial events such as weddings, funerals, promotions, family gatherings at parties and holidays and your inclinations/preferences in this regard as an excuse not to participate. Unacceptable.

Similarly, family members tend to criticize your dress and appearance in general. They eagerly want you to explain why you didn't get a haircut, why you disappointed this or that relative.

They are very good at seeing even the most innocuous signs of what they and 'society' define as deviations from the norm.

Because you are always at risk of being misunderstood, these people often insist on 'understanding' and try to understand, but rarely succeed.

Family ties are indeed very strong and wonderful, but you should be wary of their manipulation.

I always wondered how many people just before divorce would say "Yes, I will be free soon". Just kidding, why do you think divorce is free? Is marriage widely perceived as slavery, the opposite of freedom?

Most of the time this is not a coincidence. In marriage and family life people always live with the idea that they have to explain themselves, so they cannot feel free. Removing these factors can save most marriages that end in divorce. On the other hand, a lifelong friendship is a relationship in which neither party has to prove themselves.

Your friends expect nothing from you except to be yourself. The most important thing in the whole relationship is honesty. When I talk to parents, I advise them to examine their own friendships and start treating their children and other family members as friends.
