My fairy tales # 4 - New Year's fairy tale about watches

Nobody remembers when the fabulous country called New Year appeared. Of course, the New Year holiday was celebrated only once a year, and the name of this country was once completely different; but its inhabitants were so fond of the New Year holiday that eventually they began to call their country "The New Year".

Once in this country there was such history. Everyone was preparing for their most important holiday. Have already been bought Christmas tree toys, sewn carnival costumes and stored various goodies.

The day came on December 31. Everyone looked impatiently at the Main Clock in the Main Square and waited for the midnight to come. And suddenly ... the clock peeped, something clicked in them and they stopped. The country began to panic. When will the most beloved holiday come - the New Year? There were no other hours in this country.

People were worried, fussed. At what point will it be necessary for everyone to shout amicably: "Happy New Year!"?

And at that time a strange grandfather in a long fur coat, wearing a fluffy cap (in a secret, say it was Santa Claus) entered the main gate of the country. He touched his magic staff to the broken clock, and they began to show the right time.

The people were very happy; they learned that the strange grandfather's name is Santa Claus. Since then, no New Year in this fabulous country could not do without Santa Claus.

And over time, in many countries, around the world, Santa Claus has come to the New Year necessarily.
