Using a sophisticated electronic device like the iPhone, must also be balanced with sufficient knowledge of technology.
If not, you will only be stuck with a variety of myths or things that are not true, but continue to be done by the crowd.
In this article, we will share some things that have been mythical and explain the facts you should know.
1. Charging Overnight, Battery Damage
All electronic devices that are portable, must use the battery as the main power source. Each battery must also have clear specifications of both voltage, resistance and power that can be removed and received.
During this time many iPhone device users who consider that charging overnight can damage the battery. This is not true and I personally have proved it.
IPhone devices already use lithium-ion battery technology that is safe and environmentally friendly. Apple has also designed charging circuit parts on each iOS device, to automatically break the incoming electrical current when the battery indicator is recorded in full mode.
The tools needed to perform this test are easy, namely USB Volt Meter device connected between USB Power Adapter and Lightning cable and then to iPhone device.
If the battery on the iPhone is fully charged, the indicator on the USB Volt Meter will display the 0 Ampere number as a sign that no more power is released to the iPhone device.
For the record, data cable and USB Power Adapter with good standard (not fake, KW, OEM or already using MFI standard) would be a determinant of the stability of charging your battery.
2. Using Cheap Cables and Chargers, No Problems?
Apple has an MFi license for every accessory that supports iOS devices with a given standard. Either a data cable, a USB Power Adapter, a Flash Drive with a lightning connection or possibly additional battery accessories in case.
Standard MFi certainly not just given to make the price of third party accessories become more expensive than bulk or cheap accessories that you can buy in regular stores. But also as evidence that these accessories can run with the standards in accordance with the instructions from Apple.
So, whether using cheap cables and chargers will not cause problems? The answer is wrong, accessories that do not use the standard must have a bad effect that can happen on your favorite IOS device. For example, for cheap data cables or made below the standard by Apple, can make the iPhone screen becomes problematic when used. Not to mention USB Power Adapter or maybe other accessories.
3. Turning Off Device When Not Used
There are still many users of iOS devices who are more at ease to turn off iOS devices when not in use, even if only for a few hours. Some assume that this way can save battery, the rest is do not want to get interference when in meeting or other activity.
Actually turn off the iPhone when not in use, not the most appropriate way to save battery consumption especially if in a short time. Because the process of rebooting later, definitely need a larger battery than standby mode.
As for you who do not want to be disturbed by IOS devices in the foreseeable future, please use the existing features. Starting from Mute Button, Do Not Disturb, or behind the screen facing the table to temporarily turn off the Hey Siri feature.
4. Unused Batteries Wasteable, Should Replace?
"Hello admin, when I was going to sleep last night my iPhone showed 100% battery, but why when waking up has decreased quite a lot?
This question several times into the Twitter account because a number of users feel surprised, the battery can continue to decrease when not in use. The answer is simple, there are features that keep running behind the scenes and standby mode does require a battery.
So whether the battery is suddenly wasteful without being used, meaning the battery is damaged? Not necessarily, you should do some checking first before making sure of it.
Your battery may be used to upload photo and video documents to the iCloud Photo Library at night, according to Apple's standards. Or maybe you have lots of notifications and emails that keep coming in overnight?
5. Remove Application from Background, Make iPhone Speeding?
Since iOS 4, Apple introduced the Multitasking feature for iPhone and iPad devices. That is running another application behind the scenes, access back by clicking 2x Home Button.
There are still many who assume that the more applications you store in Multitasking, will make the IOS device becomes slow, run out of RAM or error.
This myth is clearly wrong, because Craig Frederighi once gave the answer to one of Apple Fanboy who sent an email to Tim Cook. Apple Support page also has explained that Apple uses an operating system that can do multitasking but still save RAM.
Such sophisticated processes can keep RAM thrifty. You just need to remove the application from multitasking if it is true there are obstacles such as error or other things.
6. Update OTA, Make Troubled iPhone?
From a growing myth, there are still users of IOS devices that make OTA Updates a wrong way, a dangerous way to update iOS. This opinion is less precise, because Apple certainly presents a feature that is easy and fast for use by users, with a good purpose. Instead of making iOS devices troublesome.
OTA Updates is a method for updating iOS to a new version with Wi-Fi connection and downloading only the latest document instead of 1 full iOS Firmware document (1.5GB - 2.5GB depending on device type). This feature was first introduced on iOS 5 and is now available for tvOS devices, AirPods and watchOS.
Due to the much smaller size of OTA Updates and the practical use of the way, many users of today's iOS devices are more familiar with the feature.
Please make sure you use a sufficient and stable Internet connection, and have backed up data if necessary before performing OTA Updates.
Quoted from several sources, OTA Updates on iOS devices also recognize the technological improvements behind the fit. Using the Format 1.0 technology name, Format 2.0 and Format 3.0 (on iOS 11), Apple continues to improve the features of OTA Updates on iOS devices from time to time.
