I'm still kind of new to Steemit & I'm trying to convince my Facebook Friends, Associates & Family to migrate away from FakeBook oops I meant Facebook to here on Steemit. I know it's kind of difficult to make that transition from one social net work to another. But, I know that I can't force them to make the change over.
It's even difficult for me from time to time to keep up with the post that I put up on Facebook instead of posting on Steemit.
I, myself, have grown tired of Facebook. I still use it everyday, but it has turned into just a continual feed of funny cat videos. There is no meaning to it anymore haha. At least here, people share their ideas and goals. Steem and Steemit is still new, and it has the chance to be a very good investment, without even putting a dime of your own into it.
I'm new to steemit, but I can tell, I'll be here for awhile!

I feel your "Growing Pains".
Steemit and facebook reminds me of the difference between a good handmade burger and a Mconalds "hamburger."
Sure ones way more popular than the other but the quality is hardly even comparable.
I'm seeing real content that is actually interesting on here. Facebook becomes more retarded by the day it seems. The main reason I stay on there is to plug steemit and try and share some real content.

Steemit has helped me a lot, I think it's way better than facebook, because there's is way more intellectual content, and a real community behind it. I barely use facebook anymore now that I am on Steemit.
The only time people like change is when they buy a pack of gum with a $100 bill. Steemit, to me, is such an easy sell though. It's censorship resistant AND you get paid for blogging.
