Facebook: Beware of fake profiles

in #facebook7 years ago

Recently I have received a few fake Facebook friends requests from VIP persons. Hope this helps you all to spot a fake Facebook account by using the tipps and advice on how I check each profile before accepting or rejecting them:

  • The account has been created just recently
  • There are almost no or no mutual friends
  • If it is an account using a VIP name while having only a few friends. VIP people are having no problem finding thousands of friends! facebook logo.jpg

So you decided to connect with them...!?!
After connecting, then the person constantly is sending you private messages through messenger even if you hardly never respond to them.

  • If you have responded once or twice, then it will only take them a short time to call you instantly without prior notification and/or to ask you penetrantely for money (playing the guilt game like you're not really a Christian, if you don't give money to them)!
  • In order to convince you; that your money should really be theirs, they do not shy away from lying, cheating, and even prophesying to you in the name of the Lord God, calling you less spiritual than them while they are liars themselves!

In short:

  • Never give your phone number through messenger and never post it in your timeline. You don't want someone creating an account in your name.
  • Never send money to Africa instead to an official website; that you already know.
  • Be cautious with accepting friends; that you don't know in real life.
  • You need to verify if you receive a friend request from someone that you're already friends with, if that request was really sent from them or not. After all you and your friend need to know in case there's someone who has been copying his/her account.

If you are asking them to send the money to the offical website of the person they are imitating, they rather want you to sent the money to some place in Africa or the like, and for sure not by donating to the official ministry website!

And what has been even ruder, if you did not respond to them within 2-3 days, then they unfriend you directly without leaving a notice to you. See, how much your friendship really meant to them, nothing ..it was all just for the money and you to be there to be meeting their needs without them caring about you (and if they'd ask you how you were doing, it was also just to get something too)! Your money and time with them would have been wasted anyway then! You don't need toxic people in your life who only want to be in your life in order to profit from you.

And least; but not last, remember ...Facebook friends are not really friends, if you don't know them in your personal private life; but rather connections or contacts. You never really know who is really hiding behind that name or picture!

Sort:

IT's fakebook anyway it's a government spy site.

Not all is fake; but the fake reduces the value of what is or might be real. Sometimes not so easy to distinguish.

I have seem some fake profiles here as well. Using the name of girls and posting nude pictures of porn stars.

Anything that might generate money is just right for scammers. For me it was fake profiles of well-known Christian preachers and ministers.
