Facebook, Google/YouTube, Twitter, and a few others REALLY tick me off! Maybe you can tell from my name? lol
As we build their massive databases, earning them unbelievable wealth from our information, our participation, and our effort, they continuously censor, suspend, and ban us for totally asinine reasons, or even no reason at all.
Recently, I saw someone that had been suspended for the most petty reason, something that didn't align with Facebook's, "up is down, black is white, and war is peace" perverted ideology. The kicker however, was when the user then reported someone that had posted an image of a man cutting the throat of a police officer! FaceCrooks reply, "That doesn't violate our Terms of Service." Wow! Call a transgender person the wrong pronoun however, which can change day-by-day, or minute-by-minute, and it's straight to Facebook Detention! That is in no way attacking any group, as I believe we're all born to be who we are. We should accept EVERYONE the same. Facebook, and the others however, very much have an agenda. What they claim to stand against, they support in every way!
Without getting into Conspiracy Theory territory type of stuff here, if left unchecked, I can see the powers-that-be saying that what is child pornography to those of us with a functioning brain, is perfectly acceptable on their tyrannical sites, as it's just the free expression of love. We're living in strange times.
Steemit is great, and it's just an infant. Although there are problems, which should be expected, we can continue to make it into THEE premiere social site on the Internet! We all own it. There are no whack-job, greedy, abusive idiots calling the shots here. WE can build the society that we want, and I don't see how it can be anything but much better than what is out there now.
Steem On, and get outta the way Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and the rest, or the Steem Roller is gonna flatten you!
