The US company Facebook will employ 1,000 moderators who will fight false advertisements after a scandal was published with Russian false advertisements during the US election.
About 10 million people in the United States reported reading false advertisements on the Facebook social network during the election. Later, it was found that political advertisements were sponsored by Russian companies, and that their goal was to influence the outcome of the election.
Facebook, which has not yet provided such estimates, reported that 44% of the announcements were announced before the November 2016 elections, and 56% during or after the elections.
Therefore, the company announced they will employ 1,000 new moderators who will review the advertisements in order to make efforts to prevent Russia and other countries from abusing the social network and influence the elections.
