Kerkoff Peucut is the grave of soldiers killed in the Netherlands the Aceh War.This tomb complex of many scattered in the territory of Indonesia. One of them is located in the city of Banda Aceh, now the interesting attractions, especially for foreign tourists (especially the origin of the Netherlands).

As it is known that the Kingdom of Aceh and its people are very persistent against the Dutch who fought Aceh. The Acehnese defend their country with wealth and life. The long resistance caused many victims on both sides.

Peucut Cemetery now
This historical evidence can be found in this Kerkhoff Dutch cemetery. Here was buried approximately 2000 Dutch soldiers, and included among them Javanese soldiers Batak, Ambon, Madura and several other tribal troops who joined in the Dutch East Indies Armed Forces. whose grave is still well cared for. Until now the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands very emotion and respect the citizens of Banda Aceh who care for the tomb neatly. They could not help thinking that the colonized peoples would take care of the tombs of the colonialists.

The Kerkhoff Grave Banda Aceh is the Dutch military cemetery which is located in the widest overseas widow in the world. In the history of the Netherlands, the Aceh War was the bitterest war that outpaced their bitter experience during the Napoleonic Wars.
