I just finished a 12.328km running that lasted about 1hh:11mm:35.0ss !

We are into the last few runs of the year. I am very close to 1000km of running for 2019 and I hope to reach that milestone for the first time. What I have not done is a parkrun in December and that is unlikely to happen this year. I had a lie-in yesterday before having to take my son to work, but the Letchworth course would be very muddy with all the recent rain.
Today it was not looking too bad when I set off. Lots of puddles everywhere and I had to go off the path to get around some of them. It started raining whilst I was out, but not enough to soak me. By the time I finished the sun was coming out again.
My title refers to this week's minor injury. I bought some new shoes (not the running kind) that rubbed the back of my heels. One is still a bit sore, but I covered it with a plaster and went out anyway. It was actually okay when I was running and only painful when I was walking. I need to break those shoes in.
The run felt like hard work at times, but the pace was okay. Running does not get easier, you just get quicker.
I listened to a couple of Richard Herring podcasts where he interviews comedians. Maybe I need better earphones as the wind and traffic made it hard to hear at times, but then I do not like to shut out all ambient noise. I need to know if there are cyclist or dogs coming up behind me. Not much wildlife about apart from a black squirrel in the churchyard.
I am thinking about what events I will do next year. I will probably do the Greenway half again, but I keep thinking I need to do a full marathon some time. Maybe I will look for one later in the year and try to train up for that.

Cheers. I have some time off, so I could just do a few short runs to get there. I may even run on Christmas day.
@steevc I hope the weather is fine. Enjoy yourself and great you manage to stick to this goal set 👍🏻💕
Are you ever worried about sharing too much location data from your runs? I tend to only share my location data when I'm traveling, and only after I get back home again.
It is too late if I want to hide where I live. People could work out where I live anyway as I don't hide my identity either. I am more wary of telling people I am away from home, but I have done that at times. I was a bit worried when someone in the UK was making some threats, but he has gone quiet and I leave him alone.
