Are we just another "hack" away from Bitcoin drop?
We have seen many big falls of bitcoin and other currencies during its lifetime. Usually, big drops in the price came after not necessary devastating news like some exchange was hacked.
There has been Mt Gox, Japan exchange and some others...
Now I am wondering, what effect will cause if an exchange like Binance got hacked? Even if the amount of stolen currencies was not so big, aren't we too dependent on some popular exchanges?
Trust me, exchanges are challenged every single day, since the reward for hackers is so big.
Will the rise of many other exchanges lower the influence of hackers? But on the other side, so many new exchanges with questionable safety mesaures can cause more pressure from the hackers?
If it is not the "fake" bad news and rumours, certanly a hack to one of the leading exchanges can cause a sudden drop of price.
Are exchanges safe enough or it will become more insignificant for the price?
