Exam stress

Stress is often described as a feeling of being overloaded, tense and worried. We all experience stress at times. it can sometimes help to motivate us to get a task finished, or perform well. But stress can also be harmful if we become over-stressed and it interferes with our ability to get on with our normal life for too long. Stress have many types, and today I’m going to focus on exam stress and pressure.

What is exam Stress?

Fear of being unable to deliver expected results or pressure from your school and family. You might worry you are going to fail or won’t get the grades you need for the course. It can be scary to talk about stress and you might feel like nobody else is feeling this way. Trying to deal with it on your own can often make the stress worse. So, it can really help to talk to someone if you need help!

When we feel stressed, we tend to give ourselves negative modes like ‘ I can’t do this or ‘ I’m going to fail’. At times it can be difficult to replace these negative thoughts with positive ones like ‘it’s going to be ok’. It can sometimes feel like your whole future depends on what grades you get. I’m going to give few tips to do to prepare for your exams to try avoiding these type of negative thoughts.

Some Tips for your exams:

1- Believe in yourself, sometimes it can be state of mind!.
2- Don’t try to be perfect, Mistakes are part of the learning process embrace them to keep pushing forward.
3- Time management, I can relate from my personal experience that this can be the most important to successes.
4- It’s natural to feel some exam nerves but don’t panic!
5- Try to maintain healthy eating habits and exercise.
