Never paid too much attention to this pizzagate story, too many scandals going on it's hard to keep track of all of them. You are very right saying that the elimination of a journalist talking about it is cause for concern.
To most of us the idea of a group of people engaging in pedophilia seems outlandish, but unfortunately there have been some prominent cases in recent years. The Jimmy Saville case in the UK. It is unbelievable how many important personalities were at least aware of his wrong-doings. Or the rampant pedophilia in the Catholic Church. The Vatican knew of these crimes and decided to cover up the scandals. If such things were possible in a church organization they are possible anywhere.
