Electroneum announced two days ago that they are removing the official pools. They claim to be phasing them out in favor of community pools, and to lower overhead cost and the time it takes their devs to manage said pools.

I personally think this is a good thing. The official pools have a very low hashrate with a high fee. They also managed to fork one of their own pools at one point. So clearly they have not been so competent in the pool department over there.
The price of ETN maintained around 15 cents USD at the time of the announcement, and now several days later.
In other ETN news Cryptopia opened up registrations again. They recently closed down new user registrations and at one point shut down all trading because they were experiencing issues. Cryptopia is far from anyones ideal exchange, and if ETN hopes to ultimately be successful they need to prioritize getting on some of the main exchanges.
Electroneum also announced this week that they hired the CEO of titanium, Michael Stollaire, as their Technical Advisor. I am not sure where I am on this, but if the guy knows what he is doing it could be a good thing going forward.
Still no news on the mobile miner beta program. I did sign up, but have not heard anything from ETN.
I have started dabbling in other coins and platforms again. So I may start expanding my posts to include information about my other adventures in crypto soon.
I hope they release mobile miner update in coming weeks instead of months !

They have already accepted registrations for beta version and the mobile miner may be out anytime soon.
They made an announcement stating sometime next week. But the mobile miner should have been out in November. It clearly wasnt ready. So they fabricated everything else.
Nope the mobile miner is ready by nov 2017 only. They have not released due to issues in electroneum wallet as they used the same app for wallet and miner. They have released a video sneakpeak of the miner then. They are trying to make it secure so that no intruders steal electroneum tokens through miner interface. Also huge user base is also a concern. Demand for electroneum is much more than expected and they have now redesigned everthing to support more users. The reason for the delay.

This is so wrong. CLI wallet has always worked, and as far as they knew the wallet worked. they didnt release the mobile miner because they didnt have it.

They should have kept running the official pool. There are many pools which are scam. I would like ETN to reopen their official mining pool. Though their fee is high, many new people are starting to mine. They will start with good faith if there is a official pool.
