Either you trade or you hodl. I've been trading recently, but unfortunately it really means staring at the screen 24/7! So I'd probably recommend just having a balanced portfolio with assets that you believe should have long term benefit. With crypto anything is possible - Ethereum could do another 5x...but equally it's possible it could loose 80% too. Who knows!!

I'm not comfortable with trading just yet, so i hold. I totally agree on long-term investing, this is why certain icos have a certain appeal to me. I started investing small on different projects i believe in, I wouldn't feel comfortable going all-in on a single coin lol
Very sensible plan imho :)
Can you tell me is poloniex safe for trading now ? Or should I switch my account to bittrex!
Confused @xaero1
I haven't had any problems with Poloniex, myself.
Other than when they've 'temporarily' disabled withdrawals/deposits for certain coins like STEEM (which at this moment in time is disabled yet again!)
But I've heard stories that a lot of people have had problems.
Poloniex say this is because they've been overwhelmed with the huge influx of new users and have not had the resources to do all the required AML/KYC checks in a timely fashion.
I have been using Bittrex a lot more now (for both of the above reasons), have never had any problems with them, that would be my recommenedation -- unless, you want to trade very large sums, in which case Poloniex may be better because it currently has higher liquidity on many assets.
Thank You so much
Please make a post for everyone about coins and future of coins.
You're very very knowledgeable.
Thank you. Maybe I try that one day :)
Cooᒪ
🍻 cheers !
Yeah, still baby steps for me. The crypto world is amazing! I've only taken interest late april, maybe why I feel that the market is overly exciting, seeing BTC rise from about $1200 to where it is now. And ETH was at $88!
Mind-blowing.
At first, whenever I see the market go bloody red, I get the urge to buy buy buy! Crypto-shopaholic at its finest lol. Now I'm limiting the funds invested, not going beyond what I can afford to lose (a very unlikely case).
As it is I've made an about 5x on my initial investments, waiting for my one big 1000x within the next couple of years I think.
Awesome! :D
Personally, as a trader (right now), I always try to keep some of my portfolio as USD, sitting on an exchange. At this moment, I've actually cashed out around 50%...as it looks to me like it could be nearing the end of this bubble for a while. And to me, end of bubble probably means around a 50% drop at least in the market unfortunately :( If you don't have too much invested, then that's fine....but if you have way too much of your net worth in it, then it's not so good!
And whenever I think to myself wow I've made x times...then that's the time I start to get worried and think about selling!! Be 'Greedy when people are fearful and fearful when people are greedy', as the saying goes :)
You're a wealth of knowledge in terms of crypto-trading. That is one challenge I foresee for my self actually, how to know WHEN to opt out. This helps a lot be fearful when people are greedy.
I hope you don't stop with a single post, I can see you'd be of great help a lot of crypto-toddlers like me.
Thanks for the kind comment :)
I remember that! I bought my first eth at $92 haha, I'm as fresh as you are
Yay! Well hello there @parker.hammer! I can't remember how much I bought ETH for, for the Aragon ico I think that was May 17, but it definitely wasn't at $350 lol.
We came in at an exciting crypto-era!
Omg i just noticed. YOUR SINGLE UPVOTE IS more than what I make on some posts I make! Thank you thank you! (Insert jaw-drop image lol).
Someone asked for an upvote, so I thought I should give all the replies some upvote out of fairness :). And just because it was my first post too!
But, yeah, I think I crazily converted way too much BTC/ETH to STEEM ( but still I want more...hehe!)
Actually, I will look for a post of yours and give you a 100% vote (not worth as much as it was a few days ago unfortunately, but still worth something :)
)
trading crypto drains you, absolute focus is required
