I started on coinbase. Doesn't take much. Very user friendly and they have a nice app for your phone. I am also expanding the currencies I am invested in using another exchange called poloniex. Check them out. I cant tell you where but check those out they will give you some tools to begin investing.
Without fees the only way to get bitcoin is through peer-to-peer transactions. Find some friends of yours that would sell you some. Exchanges usually operate through fees. Besides coinbase, bitfinex is also an option. Cheers !
Buy steem and power up. I just gave you $1.50 from voting.
@hotdogs I recently posted about a free tokens giveaway for bitcoin holders and a sort of guide to evaluate ICO opportunities. If you'd like to take a look, your voting power would definetly come in quite handy. If you like what you read, obviously. Feedbacks are always appretiated anyways !
Nice gesture, btw.
Well, consider bitcoin or ether, those are considered to be the safest. Might be the more conservative (within the crypto world) option for you.
I agree these are the best base to build off of. @trevorpostit
