Ivan on Tech discussing EOS faq's and what it's saying

TLDR:

  • The EOS tokens on the exchanges are Ethereum ERC -20 tokens, not a special EOS token.
  • There is no guarantee that current EOS token holders will be given new EOS tokens when the ICO is over.
  • EOS may be stocking up on Ethereum to crash the ETH market when/if EOS comes to fruition.

What do you think? I'm hopeful for when Ethereum goes to Proof of Stake and hope EOS isn't an extractive business practice.

two things, ICOs will be regulated around the world. So taking the money will be a good faith efforts
Ether to crash ---unlikely!!!!infact it might go up again, the more I understand about casper protocol, I think it has much better viability
I think some form of centralization will be required. I am planning to write a blog about why a mix of centralization/decentralization would be the future!!!

I look forward to reading that blog when you write it; I just followed you.

I also think when Ethereum goes full Proof of Stake - that will do a lot for the valuation as well, but as most things in life, only time will tell.

Truth for me is:

  • On one hand, tha fact that Block.one is monopolizing EOS Tokens and BlockChain is a big concern.
  • On other hand. The persons behind the development of EOS already prooved that they can deliver as promised. STEEM and Bitshares at least are live and with good health.

So if EOS developers choose the wrong company... time will tell.

I think that being EOS a Ethereum killer, it makes sense that the ICO occurs on Ether Network. This way they can transfer their resources for EOS blockhain and at the sime time crashing Ether value themselvs... This would make a great impact and eyes on them all over again...

Oh, for sure - but that faq is suspect to say the very least. I'm really hoping that ETH starts to pump again!

Definetly! Me too. The fact is that when the EOS ICO ends in 1 year and (if) they deliver the platform (in 2 years?!??), they could also mess with ether prices in a not so good way... Until then, etherum as the upside!

Right, there are solid people behind the project and I support innovation but Block.one seems sketchy as hell.
