Ethereum mining!

As some of you know, I was planning to mine using Genesis mining, but after doing some calculations I decided to build my own rig. My plan is to find out if mining is profitable. I have no computer experience and I didn't had a clue how it's going to work, but thank to the YouTube and my friend, we managed to put together small budget mining rig with 44 Mh/s Ethereum mining power for 1 100 euros.

How it's going to look!

For a frame I am going to build simple structure like in this video:

Parts! Low cost parts which I could get from my location!

Graphic cards!

These was the only ones which I could get and still I payed 330 euros per card! There is deficit for shure for graphic cards!

Nex week I will get all the parts and build it and show how it turned out!

Please share if you are also mining and your experience!

Thank you all, hava a good day!

With love @martins

gl on your mining rig! im more of a trader than a miner

Thank you, I am also in some trades as well! :) good luck to you too!

Sweet rig mate. I am planning to mine Ethereum too and have been looking for a video which shows how to build an open-air frame. One question, did you cut those aluminium frames by yourself or did you get the shop to do it ?

Thanks in advance and Cheers!

I will buy aluminium frame myself, cut it and screw together. It's simple! Thanks mate, cheers! :)

One question, don't you feel that an open rig is a fire-hazardous ?

No, the graphic cards will turn of if it's getting too hot, I havn't heard anything of
having problems like that!

Sweet, i tried surveying around the cost to build a decent mining rig and it's going for approximately around USD4,000 to build a profitable right. Still contemplating if it's worth to dump that much money into a rig.

What's your opinion on cloud-mining ?

Btw, hope you're fine with me following you and I'm keen in seeing your rig once completed. Feel free to follow me back if you want. I'm pretty new to Steemit and am still working on my articles

Thank you man! This is just for a start and testing, I will add more graphic cards to it if it's shows the results I want. I think it's more profitable than cloud mining, as 40 Mh/s at Genesis costs 1160 $ for 2 years, but my set up 1100 euros for life and I can add there 6 more graphic cards for total 176 Mh/s.

$4000 is a bit high. You should be able to build one a lot cheaper then that (then again could be based on location). The GPUs will be a bulk of the cost.

I looked into building a mining rig for Ether, but with an unknown timeframe for the change to "casper" I'm afraid to lose my investment in equipment before I can recoup it in Ether. I'm interested to see how it works out for you.

I am also interested, in worst scenario I will have new computer :D lather this week I will show how it looks!

Right on man! great start on a rig. right now you cant go wrong with mining Etherium. I have a friend right now who is using solar to power his rig and he is making a killing. Keep us updated on how it all goes.

I will! Thank you for support! :) this week I will launch it!

I would love to see a video on setting this up. Is it dedicated solar power just for the rig(s)?
