This is the COOLEST thing ever!
Is it just as easy to create a token (contract?) on the Ethereum blockchain itself to make it "official"? Same steps but just on different URLs?
Initially, how would one's newly created tokens be given value? (i.e., how would any "exchange rate" be determined vis-a-vis other tokens/coins?

BTW, I will soon be launching my own online academy (not related to cryptos) where all my courses will be free and I want to create my own token (preferably on Bitshares, EOS, or Steemit platform) so students can earn them after they complete courses.

Note that I am not totally unfamiliar with programming, as I use to be a programmer in the 80's & 90's albeit using more dinosaur languages such as Pascal, COBOL, machine language, & HTML. By my how things have changed since then...
