Before the nazis came to the Baltic states they were controlled by the Soviet union and Estonians hated it, they wanted to be free and when the nazis came Estonians saw them as liberators.In the nazi rule ethnic Estonians had a easier life only Jews and Russians were killed.But after some time the Soviets came back and many fascist Estonians went to the forest and fought a bloody guerilla war against Soviet forces.They were called "Metsavennad" wich means forest brothers.Estonians supported the forest brothers but when they were cought helping them they were executed.
