International standard book number

International Standard Book Number (ISBN) (Occasionally spoken like this : [ɪzbən] ) or international standard book number is a unique numbering method used to identify barcodes of all books that are used commercially. In 1966 this numbering system was introduced in the United Kingdom. UK seller of books and stationery items built to WHO Smith .
