In Myanmar literature, there are many a writing that put blame on women.

ျမန္​မာစာ​ေပက်မ္​းဂန္​မ်ားတြင္​ မိန္​းမမ်ားအား ႏွိမ္​့ခ်​ေသာစာမ်ား ႐ွိ၏။
Oh woman, you female!
Isn't good to haven't got you
Isn't good too to have got you
Not having you is bad
But having you is bad too, so it is said.
`မိန္​းမဟူဘိ ထိုဣတၳိကား
မ႐ွိမ​ေကာင္​း ႐ွိမ​ေကာင္​း
မ​ေပါင္​းလည္​းခက္​ ​ေပါင္​းလည္​းခက္​´ဟု ဆို၏။
Women wind like rivers, so it is said. Those words seem to be originated from Hindu and Buddhist schools of thought. They says that men are more nobler than women.
မိန္​းမမ်ားသည္​ ျမစ္​ကဲ့သို႔ ​ေကြ႔​ေကာက္​တတ္​သည္​ ဟုလည္​းဆိုၾကသည္​။ ထိုအဆိုအမိန္​႔မ်ားသည္​ ​ေယာက်္​ားမ်ားက မိန္​းမမ်ားထက္​ ပို၍ျမတ္​သည္​ဟူ​ေသာ ဟိႏၵဴ ႏွင္​့ ဗုဒၶဘာသာ အယူအဆမွ ​ေပါက္​ဖြားလာျခင္​းျဖစ္​သည္​။
