DAMASCUS, (SANA) - Syria's opposition movement Ahrar al-Sham said on Wednesday it had reached an agreement to withdraw its fighters and civilians from the eastern city of Harasta, the first such agreement since the Syrian regime launched a fierce military campaign to restore the divided and besieged region.
"The agreement provides for the rebels to leave the city with their weapons with those who want civilians to the north of Syria with Russian guarantees," the spokesman for Ahrar al-Sham in the eastern Ghouta, Munther Fares, was quoted as saying.
