It looks elegant, the castle that serves as an old monastery became a major destination during a visit to France. Mont Saint Michel, is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Mont Saint Michel Castle was built in the 10th century and became the center of pilgrimage of the Christians.

It takes about 3 to 4 hours from the City of Paris. Historically, Mont Saint Michel was the first monastic building in the 8th century with a coral island that became the foothold of a castle-shaped convent named Mont Tombe.

However, in 1067 Mont Saint Michel became the seat of William Normandy who claimed the British empire. This monastery also has other lands in England, including a small island west of Cornwall that mimics the style of Mont Saint Michel and is named Mount St Michael in Penzance, England.

During the war, British troops repeatedly attacked the island. However, British troops still can not seize it*. This is because the defense of Mont Saint Michel's strong forces.

Around Mont Saint Michel there is a parking area already provided. The cobbled streets, called the uphill Cour de l'avancee and the Bevole gate, serve as a gateway to explore Mont Saint Michel.

Along the way to the summit of the coral island or The Abbey there lined the souvenir shop. These shops sell a variety of souvenirs typical Mont Saint Michel, ranging from clothing, ceramics, knick-knacks, to food.
