Handmade Jewellery Piercing | MVD

If you guys been following me now for some time, you might still know about my Medusa Piercing that I’ve got for my birthday in August. Well, it had time to heal which I always prefer before doing something with it, and now I finally could change the jewelry!

And so, as you saw, I had Opal jewelry in it. The problem was that for some reason it hurt pretty bad after some time because it was like a push in jewelry and I pushed it into a flexible labret which does work but didn’t for me...as my body would reject it.

I still have the jewelry because I want to change it into earrings so that I still can wear it because these two stones are soooo beautiful!

Anyway, I was looking for handmade piercings so that they could make the size and jewelry I wanted. I had an 8mm labret which I wore until I changed it but this one was a bit too long, and the 6m was too tight so, I thought 7mm must be the length!

This was when I discovered Goldpiercingart which is a German website, and they are based in Germany as well. The piercing and style that they offer caught my attention to write them an E-mail.

In general, they are working with gold to create the main part of the piercing but use gems to improve the finished jewelry. You can let them know what exactly you want to have and they will make it work for you!

You can ask for any gem you want to have for your piercing, or you don’t have to use one at all and just keep it in gold only.

I asked them if they could put an Opal into the labret, but you can’t make that stone so small...it’s too fragile, so they’ve recommended me to use a diamond.

Btw, I didn’t know that you could find diamonds in so many different colors! I always thought that it’s just the clear one where all the colors reflecting in it…

So, I decided to go with a white gold labret piercing with a diamond in it.

The last question that I had was: How do I get it to Australia?

He could have sent it to me, but this would get so expensive! So, I’ve posted it to my friend’s mother in Germany, and she would give it to her daughter. Her daughter lives close to us here in Australia, but she visited her mum at that time!

Perfect timing!

I had to wait for about a month until the jewelry was done plus another month until she came back to Australia from her visit to Germany.

The long waiting time was worth it though!

I can’t complain, and it looks stunning + they’ve made it themselves, and I could create and ask for what I wanted.
