Binturong or Binturung in Latin called Arctictis binturong is a kind of big civet. Weasel-like bears and began to be desirable as pets like cats and dogs.

The decreasing of Binturong population is caused by hunting and destruction of forests due to deforestation and forest fires. Binturung is hunted for its thick-haired skin, and for its body parts to be used as traditional medicine.
