I guess one could have a good debate for both sides of this argument.
One could also just say seeing is simply just seeing. However, we could get all new age-y and start to discuss the Law of Attraction neither will it be a biblical viewpoint. That is not what I want to do because we have all heard about that and are probably inundated. Before I ever heard of universal law - I thought about whether believing or focussing our energy and attention long enough on something led to actually causing it to manifest.
- Can we really create our reality with our thoughts?
- Do thoughts really create things?
- Isn't creating a common phenomena since we set a goal and if we work towards it we can achieve them?
What do you think? What has been your experience?
I will briefly explore the idea that believing can be seeing.
I think that if one believes and has confidence and faith is maintained and in addition the necessary steps are taken then believing becomes seeing. Action is required - even if it is only being in the right place at the right time.
It does not matter whether the goal is large or small. No special tools are required either. Being clear about what one would like to achieve is the first step. It might be important to write it down - one's desires or goals. This helps to isolate that one thought - so it is clear which though out of the supposed 60,000 thoughts/day is the one that is a current goal - the one that you want to achieve.
As usual it is all easier said than done but practice makes perfect. Beliefs are powerful and once created, they are hard to change. However, it is that strength of emotion behind the belief that will propel it into becoming our reality. A powerful belief is fear of heights - some people just need to think about it and anxiety sets in.
Without delving in - let's take a simple example: finding a parking spot on a busy street. People who believe they will find one - usally do. People who believe they will not - do not. They then remark " See - I always have bad luck". They reinforce their own belief and sometimes are happy that they are right. What if they tried the reverse and make that their new truth. Will that be just a coincidence or are they creating? One cannot be sure - but it is worth a try. For instance, using the example of the parking - the person failed already due to their firm belief.
It is better to think positively - to focus on the possibilities - it is also a lot more pleasant. Positivity enforces one's belief, one's faith - then suddenly we start to see evidence of the our thoughts.

You actually prooved the point, believing is seeing... Kudos @momogrow
Lol, I almost forgot about the topic of the post, about coming to complain to you on what I Didn't see, but then I gave it one more close c look and boom! Something is there and I sW it because I believe something was there
haha @burlarj - u proved the point as well
I do believe that you can manifest change in your life. You can make things happen by believing that you can do them. And then by following that belief towards making the reality you are seeking actually happen.
@dinoromanelli - I think we are in agreement then. So u think believing is seeing as well?
I do. I believe that we set our own course in life, and not all of that is in reaction to what happens in front of us. We take chances. We go places we have never been before. I believe that we do these things because we believe they will be right. We don't, for the most part, make blind decisions. We take leaps, but I think most are leaps of faith. We see a possible positive outcome and go for it if we think it's right for us. You know?
@dinoromanelli yes we take leaps of faith but usually it si because we believe that is the rightful action needed to reach our goal - just like you said.
Initially I couldn't accept your caption Believing is Seeing.
But as I read through, I figured out that not only Believing is Seeing. But Thought is also Seeing.
From the illustration about the parking.. The man has already harboured the THOUGHT of not getting a space to park and eventually it came to pass..
Your work shifted my paradygm about reality and how we see life..
Good job..
@dklasic thank you. indeed a thought is an idea that is formed in one's mind -so a thought is also seeing and believing.

To see, or not to see
To believe, or not to believe
"To be, or not to be, that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take Arms against a Sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them"
William Shakespeare
Seeing can be believing and believing can also be seeing. I feel both can be applied to real life scenarios.
Thanks for another thought provoking post @momogrow
@the-one-true-dan - you are welcome. Yes indeed as Shakespeare hinted - it can be both - seeing being more obvious than believing hence the discussion focussed on believing.
