I remember the beading frenzy from years ago and the sheath looks very traditional. Did you have a pattern to follow?

I copied a pattern that I saw on some artifacts in a museum. It would have been more authentic to some of the Plains Indian tribes, but when he saw it he really wanted that one.
It looked authentic to me but then we don't get taught much if anything about the Native Americans in the UK.
This photo is great with the kids dancing and the full outfit in glorious colour.
We don't get taught much either... I had to learn on my own.
The afternoon portion of this powwow was all about the kids. Telling them stories, and teaching them songs and dancing with them.
These tribal outfits are superb. Such colour and use of natural elements.
