One animal to give wide berth especially with babies around, normally the sentries sit further out watching your every move.

That scream/bark is enough to stop anyone in their tracks, yes backing out of situations happens out hiking, fortunately we have never encountered bad instances where they actually became aggressive or too close...

The thing is to locate the sentries Lady Joan and to never act suspicious.
They are especially alert to objects that are long and looks like a rifle. A tripod can send them into a frenzy.
I have heard that scream a few times and one can never get used to it.
