After login, app reloads itself perhaps that caused crash. Did app completely closed when you experienced crash or maybe you just experienced app reload? Reload should be smooth but if you have Android 4.X you might notice some falling behind because Android 4.X doesn't support some transitions.
There are few things, I am seriously considering in terms of increase performance even for better, that might take some effort and time on development, though.
