The weapons used by terrorism prisoners in a police hostage drama were stuck in one of the Salemba Prison Room at Mako Brimob, Kelapa Dua, Jakarta, Thursday (10/5).
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - Former detainee of treason case in Rutan Salemba branch at Mako Brimob, Muhammad Al Khattath was concerned and strange over the terrorist prisoner riots in Mako Brimob, Depok. He also proposed that the House of Representatives to form a fact-finding team to uncover the cause of the riots.
Al Khattath said, when he was detained in Mako Brimob he did not get a bad impression. However, he said, perhaps different treatment received between him and the prisoner of terrorism case.
"But of course it's different with me, I'm a case of treason, a political case with a group of friends accused of terrorists yes I think this is something," said Al Khattath when met at the sidelines of Action 115, Monas Jakarta, Friday (11 / 5).
According to him, if nothing really touches the most basic thing in the heart, terrorist prisoners will not be so angry. "I propose to the House of Representatives for an independent fact-finding team to find out the root of what the problem really is at Brimob," he said.
Al Khattath said he had never experienced inappropriate treatment on a fairly severe scale. "Because I myself who experienced there did not get that bad, it's so as bad as it's diframing that comrades who are terrorism prisoners are brutal and so on," he said.
He said that if there were no underlying problems, the riots would not have happened. Therefore, he believes there must be something that makes terrorist prisoners angry, not just about food.
"I do not think it will be that much if there is nothing very basic, I think it's something very basic, it needs an independent TPF," he explained.
