Math is a difficult concept for the reporters in this world. Vitalik correctly says he doesn’t see the crypto gains of 1000% as before.
Is he correct ? Welll — if you stuck with main coins, probably yes for many —- but not true for others.
Bitcoin — even if it went to $60,000 —- that’s 10 x or 1000%
Litecoin — evne if litecoin got up to $400 (which I thin I EASY) —- that’s a 700% gain
You could also give a green light to many other coins as well to do 1000% by the end of 2019 — it’s only 10 times today’s price.
However, he is correct in that many many coins WILL NOT and will be failures over the next 18 months.
I can see ETH going up 1000% easy. You have Wall Street coming in with ETF’s and Coinbase is pushing BTC, ETH, LTC and BCH — of course it will go up 10 times.

only small coins might get that high return but also high risk of suddenly dissapearing
I think we may see several well known coins do 4-8 times by end of the year.
yes it's better to buy well known coins at discounted price now, rather than speculative unknown new coins

ETH went from under $10.00 in 2017 to over $1,000.00 within a year, now at $200.00, could easily go back over $1,000.00 or back to $10.00. So much manipulation to the downside at the moment, I suspect the goal is to crush the prices and then pump up to new highs. Gut wrenching for holders, traders pulling the strings.
