There are various activities involved in agriculture , they are crop production, livestock rearing, forestry, horticulture, marketing of agricultural products , selling of agricultural inputs and extension of research output to the farmers

Economic importance of agriculture

Food supply: provides feed for livestock, food is necessary for building up healthy human resources needed for increased productivity in the industrial sector of the economy, food supply influences the standard of living of any country
Provision of raw materials: Many manufacturing industries use agricultural products as raw materials which are transformed into finished goods
