QUEST FOR PEACE. EPISODE ONE.

THE CLASH
One of the warriors of ugwu kingdom ran ad fast as he could into the palace, panting like a mad dog.
"Your Highness........ Your Highness. The ogugu I mean the ogugu......." He stammered. "Ike.....Ike.... What is it? Why are you panting and stammering like a coward? How long will it take you to express yourself before the king and the chiefs? Chief Ogele cut in.
"Like, you're before me, king Uwa Aka, I, your king. After all, the mother can not fold her hands and watched the hawk crry away her chicks. Calm down and tell us what happen". King Uwa-Aka commanded.
"Your Highness, the warriors of Ogugu have finished all our guards on the farm. They have destroyed all the crops in the farmland and set the remaining on fire. I barely escaped with my life to inform you. Your Highness, all the guards has been wasted". Ike lamented soberly. " Oh aaru.....We are finished , Your Highness. These Ogugu will finish us in the land. Your Highness something must be done fast or else" Chief Uche panted.
"This insult is getting to much to bear. We can't continue keeping quiet while the king ofOgugu and his warriors play us like fools. We have endured their barbaric acts for too long. We need to stand up and help ourselves. If this keeps longer than this, they will take us for granted. Your Highness, we await your order". Chief Okala added.
The king looked from left to right and shook his head sadly. Over five years now, they have been forcefully oppressed by the king of Ogugu and his warriors. King Uwa-Aka had been very patient trying to devise other means to solve the conflict instead of declaring war on them. All the means he had devised had been unsuccessful because the king of Ogugu land, King Etang had refused every attempt made by king Uwa-Aka to settle the issue amidst them.
For the past five years, they had lost their farm produce farmland crops, animals, their men and women including Children to the warriors of Ogugu land.
