A helicopter belonging to PT Indonesia Morowali Park (PT IMIP) crashed in Fatufia Village, Morowali District, Central Sulawesi, on Friday, April 20, 2018, at 09:20 local time. At the time, the helicopter was carrying six passengers and two crewmen.

"A single helicopter accident caused one PT IMIP employee to pass away and six passengers were injured," the press release of the Ministry of Transportation said Friday.

Victims injured by the accident include Captain I Rudi A. suffered a deep wound, Captain II Deliati Hasiolan Gulo suffered a broken right hand and a torn wound on the forehead, and three passengers suffered minor injuries. While one victim named Aris Heni Irawan.

The helicopter will initially fly to Kendari. At 09:15, the helicopter took off from the helipad of PT IMIP. However, at 9:17 am, the helicopter abruptly turned toward the back ground.

While on the way to the runway, the nahas helicopter fell and hit an employee named Aris. At that moment, Aris was passing in front of post two to go to work. He was killed with the condition of the right hand and foot and the neck was cut off by exposed helicopter blades.

Until now, the cause of the helicopter crash is still under investigation of the Bahodopi Sector Police. While the passengers, among them Xi Lai Wang, Yan Yun, Di Yi Fei, Guan, Zhao Yipu, and Du Gui, survived the incident.
