What do you do when you are stressed?

Stress! A relatively new word in our vocabulary and consciousness. I first heard it in the last century, through the 80's. I didn't know what it meant. I thought it was a new disease invented, a disease of the inhabitants of the cities. A disease of the intellectuals because I hadn't heard any worker or peasant complain about stress.

Then this word began to be used more and more but it was not clear to me what it meant. I still thought that it was not something serious but more an opinion or an excuse for the non-fulfillment of some.

Finally, it doesn't matter what I thought. Stress has become the disease of the century!

Now, all the harm is due to stress.

The disease of modern man! Nobody gets rid of it.

We have to defend ourselves somehow. Not with drugs. The solution is to realize when we are stressed and try to get out of the stressful situation for a while.

To take a break from stress! There are countless ways to do this, everyone has probably behavior to shield himself from stress from time to time.

What do you do when you are stressed?

I'm asking you because I want to tell you what I do when I'm stressed

I relax and get rid of stress when I cook!

Next I want to prove this, to show you how I do.

Work problems, health problems. That means stress. At work, on the way home and at home I think only about these problems and I do not see much exit from this unpleasant situation. This generates stress! The only solution is to deflect thoughts from these problems, especially at home. The only way to do this, for me it works, is to cook. Then I focus only on cooking and think only about what the food will be.

Today I cooked cabbage with meat and a pork soup from smoked bones, a sour soup that is called, in Romanian, "borsh".

I worked at the same time for both dishes. While I put the bones and the meat to the boil I started to clean and prepare the vegetables.

I prepared the vegetables, I cleaned and cut them into small pieces: cabbage; onion; carrot; pepper; potatoes; tomatoes.

Having the ingredients prepared, it followed the preparation of the two dishes.

Borsh

After the meat was boiled I put in the pot the rest of vegetables: onion, pepper, potatoes and a few pieces of tomato. After a quarter of an hour I added a very important ingredient, called "borsh". He gives the name of the food.

This borsh is obtained by fermentation from wheat grains and is very sour. It should be boiled and added to the pot with meat and vegetables.

To finish this sour soup I add an egg mixed in the cream.

Cabbage with meat

I cut the meat into pieces and I would fry it in sunflower oil.

While the meat is fried I deal with cabbage.Season with salt and shake with hand to be more fragile.

I put the onion and then the cabbage over the meat, add some hot water and boil until the meat is well boiled.

Must boil over low heat for more than an hour. It is best when put in the oven but because I am not at home, I do not have an oven now.

Thus, the only solution is to boil until the water evaporates and the cabbage remains with meat and a little juice.

A good food especially if eaten with polenta.

The desire to get rid of unpleasant thoughts and stress helped me to prepare food for a few days. These dishes are highly appreciated in Romania, maybe they are unusual for you and because of this I wanted to show them here. Maybe someone will be inspired! Maybe someone will want to get rid of stress by my method.

Well, anything can be done to distract attention from what is bothering us and upset us ... ie what causes stress. It must be tried, I think it is the best medication.

When I feel I begin to get stressed, I manage a calm time, you could call it meditation, in that I center myself back to what are my true desires in this moment....and my desires are never to feel stress and uncomfortable, so I know immediately that I want to feel good and peaceful...For that I know that I just focus on pleasant thoughts (and I have always pleasant thoughts prepared in advance...LoL) and I focus enough time so that it attracts some other pleasant thoughts, and another, and in a few minutes, I manage to align myself ...
well these are years of practicing, I'm not telling you it has always been like that, oh hell not ! but like drawing is practice, or like anything comes with practice, managing the stress is also faster with practice, and the great secret is to be vigilant and no let stress being so big that it's overwhelming...much easier to take it when it is just a little annoyance, indeed ! 😉

Depending on what you game, this could bring a surplus of stress!

That's definitely a good looking meal!

I personally don't cook to relieve stress, but I will exercise, go for a bike ride, or go to the archery range and shoot for a bit. Those things I can do while letting my mind clear of whatever is bothering me, and I find it helps a lot.

I think I would like to go to the archery range and shoot, I think it's a way to get rid of anger.

That is a great and delicious way of dealing with stress. I deal with mine by taking photos and going out when ever I could.

Sometimes I cook when I'm stressed. I also go to my garden and do stuff around there or take a walk. It's important to calm down before I go to bed.
If I am at work, I'm in trouble :(

Yes, when we are at work we cannot save ourselves. Generally there is the greatest stress.
