Fruit Jamblang or in the know with (Syzygium cumini)
Jamblang fruit is usually eaten directly and more fresh. as is the custom in some areas of Indonesia itself. this ripe jamblang fruit can be mixed with a little salt and sometimes added sugar, then shaken in a sealed container (usually two bowls cupped) so it is more soft and less shampooing.
This fruit is rich in vitamins A and C can also be used as juice, jelly or wine. In the Philippines, this jamblang wine is commercially grown. Jamblang tree is also often planted as shade trees in the yard and plantation (eg to shade coffee plants), or as a windbreak (wind break). The flowers are good as honey bee feed.
