Meuseuraya in Tomb of Samudra Pasai Descendants of Rasulullah's Tomb: Cleaning Up Cupola Repair

SAMUDERA - The Center for Information Team of Samudra Pasai Heritage (Cisah) conducted meuseuraya (mutual cooperation) at the tomb complex of the great figure of the Samudra Pasai era descended from Rasulullah SAW, known as the Tomb of Sayyid Syarif, in GampongMancang, Samudera District, North Aceh, Sunday, 28 June 2020. The reason is that the historical site has not been maintained. In addition to many grasses, the tomb complex has rusted, and the cupola is leaking.

In the meuseuraya, Cisah was assisted by Aceh History Care Students (Pelisa), Gampong Mancang apparatus, Babinsa from the Samudera Koramil, and supported by Terpiadi A. Majid, a member of the North Aceh DPRK, who provided various needs for these activities.

Cisah's Deputy Chairperson, Sukarna Putra, explained that in the Tomb of Sayyid Syarif the Tomb of the Prophet Muhammad SAW was buried three times according to the epitaph in their tomb. First, a pious, perfect, noble and zuhud, pious and pure in heart named Sayyid 'Imaduddin' Ali Al Husainiy Al Hasaniy (died 19 Muharram 827 Hijrah). Second, a cleric named Sayyid Syarif Mir Hasan bin Mir 'Ali Syir Al Abadiy (Syir Al Abadiy means Lion City, a famous region in Afghanistan), died in 12 Rabiul Awal 833 Hijrah.

"Third, a noble woman who is believed to also be an ahlulbait, based on the title Syarifah at the base of her name," said Sukarna Putra.

According to Sukarna Putra, so far based on reliable historical data, the figures in the funeral complex are descendants of the Prophet Muhammad the earliest inhabitants of this island (Samudra Pasai). "With such enormous historical data in the idst of us, it is fitting for our common concern. Because now the condition of the tomb complex is in a state of concern, both in terms of the cleanliness of the burial area, and the safety of the artifact itself, "he said.
