Hardware and Storage
Our servers are brand new, state of the art computers with the capacity to upgrade to 3 TB of RAM each, on a moments notice. They include 2.5""SSD hard drives, 4 Xeon E7-8880- 2.2 GHz- 88 cores- 176 processing threads. They will not be used for any other purpose than EOS block production. We will connect them to the internet with dedicated, redundant fiber optic line at 1 GBPS upgradeable to a maximum (currently) of 10 GBPS on a moments notice. Hardware will include Arista 10 GB SFP+ switch with 24 SFP ports and Layer 3 BGP peering to redundant ISP's. This will include enhanced Layer 3 Routing license from Arista Switches, redundant active/active unified threat management firewall with round-robin load balancing 10GbE capable with 19 GBPS firewall throughput. Internet hosting will be IPv4 /24 address block (with 254 usable addresses).
Storage
We will never use legacy internet corporate storage. We will begin with 44 x 8 TB SAS Drive Arrays- 12 Gb/s and increase once storage reached 50% of capacity. We will always maintain a minimum of 50% available free storage, no matter how fast the network grows, how much storage is required, and no matter the expense involved.
Because of the current climate and prevailing attitudes of legacy internets companies (Facebook, Twitter, Google and other banning ICO advertizing), banks refusing to wire money to blockchain exchanges, and other indicators that those currently in control of the internet, government, and thus, the world's economies might not always be, "EOS friendly"etc., we at EOS the World feel STRONGLY that storage of vital EOS data should NEVER (even temporarily) be placed in the legacy internet corporation cloud storage facilities (such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure Cloud, Google Cloud Platform, Apple iCloud, etc). It is an avoidable potential point of failure.
Therefore, EOS the World has taken the substantial undertaking to provide (for starters) 1 PB of bare metal in-house storage for each of its data center servers, and will continue to provide only in-house, bare metal storage as the network grows, no matter how rapidly, how large, or whatever the expense (which is anticipated could become sizable) as time passes and the network grows. Whenever our storage units become 50% full, we will immediately double the amount of storage, or enough to provide 75% available storage on all primary and back-up locations.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Server Locations
While we are headquartered in Puerto Rico, we are not currently able to locate our servers here because of the unstable nature of the power grid on the island. Since we have the freedom to locate our servers anywhere, we have chosen some of the best locations available anywhere. All server locations have absolute 100% complete redundencies in all areas, including multiple, dedicated fiber optic line internet, up to 10GBPS, complete electricity redundancy with up to 4 MW of power, plus complete cooling, generator, and IT support redundancies. There is not a single indentified single-point of failure in our hardware, nor nor data center locations, and, all equipment is brand new state-of-the-art equipment, with servers with up to 3 TB of RAM, and 1 PB of local (not cloud) bare metal storage per server (to begin). These high-value servers are protected by the best online security, and 3-factor authentication physical security, including biometric palm print identity verification.
Our initial main server will be located at one of the finest tier 3 data centers in the world, the Zayo zColo Data Center on the vital I-35 corridor, midway between Dallas and Austin, Texas (two huge business and techology hubs), in Waco, Texas, less than a mile off I-35 and 3 miles from the enormous, world-class, Baylor University Research and Innovation Collaborative technology incubator.
Server Location #1: 700 Austin Ave., Waco, TX- one of the world's most advanced data centers. Zayo’s Waco, Texas zColo Data Center is the only Tier III data center centrally located between Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin, and Houston. Located in the heart of Waco, the facility is a re-purposed Cold War era nuclear fallout shelter that provides an elite level of physical security that is rare in the commercial data center market. This prime location falls within a 150 mile radius of Dallas, Austin, Houston, and San Antonio- enabling multiple paths for data replication in both production and disaster recovery business models. The facility features the largest concentration of enterprise IT accessible fiber for 80 miles in any direction. Encompassing 100% of the metro fiber operators and 60% of all transiting fiber providers along the I-35 corridor, our Waco Data Center is the leading network access point for the region. Network latency readings have been recorded at less than 1.5 milliseconds from both Dallas and Houston POPs.
This facility is optimally located in close proximity of multiple highway routes to enable accessibility in the event of hurricane, national airway interruption, or other disaster. It is located on a separate part of the power grid from other major Texas metroplexes, providing an operational advantage during rolling blackouts and power generation system failures. It features a true 2N power standard with dual redundant power paths from generator to cabinet facility and incorporates dual transformer commercial power feeds. The facility’s hardened security environment features a layered security protocol that includes biometric authentication, access key cards, and DVR camera surveillance. These security measures complement a Network Operations Center staffed by experienced IT professionals providing vigilant monitoring and remote hands support 24x7x365.
Our second server will be temporarily located at the Zainos Technology Headquarters, allowing for manual switching to back up, until the EOS software permits mult-node configuration.
When elected, our second, third, and fourth locations will also be Tier 3 data centers, with latencies to the primary server as low as 1.6 milliseconds.
Server Location #2: 6606 Lyndon B Johnson Fwy/Fl-1/Ste-125/Rm-Data Center Dallas, TX 75240
Optimally located in North Dallas, Zayo’s Data Center at 6606 LBJ is a state-of-the art Tier III facility designed to accommodate demanding enterprise hosting requirements. Efficient design and contemporary infrastructure coupled with nationally competitive power rates afford our tenants scalable, resilient, and cost-effective colocation solutions. This facility is strategically located to provide optimal access to the DFW fiber network, one of the best and broadest in the world. Fed from dual power substations, one in a hospital district, our facility boasts a proven history of continuous conditioned power connectivity that is protected by backup UPS systems and onsite diesel generators. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive suite of integrated cloud infrastructure solutions to complement customer controlled IT assets and provide our clients with the most economical and operationally efficient solutions.
Additionally, if elected, we will immediately commence equiping servers #3 and #4 in Zayo tier 3 data centers in other countries besides the United States, in completely different legal jurisdictions. We will establish EOS the World servers in Paris, France, and London, England.
Server #3 Location: 19/21 Rue Poissonniere, Paris, France, 75002
The Paris facility is the premier Tier III+ data center in France. It is located in the heart of the Silicon Sentier, one of the centers of the French digital economy. Completely remodeled in 2013, the facility features high-efficiency, eco-friendly hosting, and technical rooms that total 1,250 square meters, featuring 600 kW of redundant electricity, 10 GBPS double optical dedicated fiber intake internet, complete physical plant security, and boasts 99.999% uptime.
Server #4: London, England.
The location of the London Zayo tier 3 zColo facility will be announced as soon as plans are complete.

Scalability
Our servers will begin with 768 GB of RAM, with the capacity to upgrade to 3 TB of RAM each, on a moments notice.
Our bare metal storage will begin with 1 PB of bare metal in-house storage for each of its data center servers, and will continue to provide only in-house, bare metal storage as the network grows, no matter how rapidly, how large, or whatever the expense (which is anticipated could become sizable) as time passes and the network grows. Whenever our storage units become 50% full, we will immediately double the amount of storage, or enough to provide 75% available storage on all primary and back-up locations.
Once elected, and once the software allows multiple parallel nodes, we will add two additional data centers in countries other than the United States. This will, we feel, help us us manage and regulatory changes coming from any one particular country.
Our very long-term scaling plan (5 years) is to own 4 completely independent data centers that have all the Tier 3 features and redundancies of the zColo centers where we currently lease space. These data centers with feature solar power, be in 3 different countries, and be beholden to no one but the EOS blockchain.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Philanthropy
While the first, and, by far, most important job of a block producer is to provide a stable, rock-solid foundation upon which to grow the EOS network, including excellent personnel, hardware, security and planning for future expansion, we pledge to donate up to 75% of our net profit (after the above primary expenses and needs are met) toward philanthropic efforts. Being headquartered on the island of Puerto Rico, devastated in 2017 by two hurricanes, Irma and taking a direct hit from the Category 5 Hurricane Maria, we have a special interest in helping the citizens of Puerto Rico recovery from what has been a life-changing event. In the name of EOS, we will be donating a substantial amount of money to everyday local citizens to do the basics, like putting food on the table and a roof over their heads, all the while promoting good-will, and understanding of the new blockchain revolution, lead by EOS, and teaching them about it. Not only will this help to island recover, it will hopefully promote understanding and cooperation with the government of Puerto Rico, which is leading the way to make Puerto Rico the new "World's Capital of the Blockchain" through cooperative efforts between private enterprise and local government, with such recent successful efforts as #BlockchainUnbound, #CoinAgenda, and #RestartWeek, all of which received world-wide media coverage.
EOS the World will also commit to providing subsidized services to the aspiring EOS dApp developers who will need the same kinds of services we needed to launch our blockchain candidacy... affordable access to legal, accounting, business development planning and advice, and access to elite hardware, high speed fiber optic cable, utility redundancies, and liability insurance. We will provide these online, and through a growing network of "EOS Centers" funded through our philanthropic efforts, and overseen by EOS the World team member, Willard E. Brown, III, a highly-regarded philanthropist for over 40 years.
A member of our legal team, Raul Vidal, Esq. who is licensed to practice law in the US and Puerto Rico, and is fluently bi-lingual, has an extensive background as a lobbyist, and will personally spearhead lobbying efforts on an as needed basis with Western Hemispheric countries regarding blockchain acceptance, and will coordinate with legal teams elsewhere to address potential governmental/blockchain misunderstandings as they may arise.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Business Plan:
Expenditures and Budget
As of June 3, 2018, total expenditures visa vie' the blockchain candidacy of EOS the World, LLC will exceed $500,000, with expenses likely to easily double as we scale, adding additional bare metal storage, and additional server locations and hardware in Europe. Absent team member salaries and server costs, we estimate monthly expenses for redundant fiber optic internet, and data center costs to be $25,000/month.
Regarding Block Producer reimbursement, we favor a graduated reimbursement based on token price, as we put forth in a special Telegram chat room regarding BP reimbursement. The higher the token price, the lower the percentage of inflation dedicated to funding the block producers. We believe that, while there may need to be a ceiling on block producer reimbursement should the token price rise to triple digits (over $100 USD), there also needs to be a floor on block producer reimbursement should the token price plunge into the low single digits. Based on the work we did, along with several BP candidates, we've estimated that a reasonable minimal yearly expense of providing all the services required of a legitimate block producer would be at a minimum $1.2 million USD. Reimbursement through inflation less than that puts the block producers in financial jeopardy, and, as such, places the entire EOS network at risk.
All hardware financing expenses, staff salaries, travel, advertizing, and community outreach expenses would be in addition to these basic, mandatory, recurring expenses. These expenses are layed out in detail in the Telegram BP cost analysis published by another team, to which we contributed meaningfully.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Internet Security
Our plan for internet security is to begin with Arista 7150s-24 port Layer 3 switches for 10G switching and BGP peering with our providers from our own /24 network block. Our firewall will be provided by Sophos. Both devices have the ability to identify and blackhole DoS and DDoS traffic whether it be ICMP Floods, SYN/TCP Floods or UDP floods at over 10 Gb/s. Additionally, while not automatic, the providers will also assist in blocking DoS traffic we identify.
While we are currently under contract for redundant fiber optic internet at 1Gb/s links, once elected and we increase the sevice up to 10 Gb/s links, the DoS attack will have to exceed 20 Gb/s before we will not able to respond to legitimate EOS requests to our nodes. Typically, when DOS attackers realize they cannot fill the pipeline, they give up in less than a day and concentrate elsewhere.
Cloudfare is another option currently under consideration. This is a service that can be added while online, if needed. Since we will have SNMP monitoring on all interfaces tracking bandwidth utilization, an attack can reasonably be anticipated.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Statement Regarding Dividends
We, at EOS the World, LLC, are a completely autonomous, self-funded, decentralized group of professionals who have all had very successful careers in our different chosen fields, whether it be computer science, IT security, computer programming, accounting, philanthropic, legal, entrepreneurial, or medical careers. We have all worked extremely diligently in our careers, with laser-like focus, and had extremely honorable, upstanding careers. We pledge to never doing anything that could be interpreted as besmirching or sullying the EOSIO brand, nor our own reputations, such as "buying votes", giving dividends, or any other form of renumeration to those who have voted for our BP candidacy, or any other form of corruption or fraud, and are willing to put up a performance bond as collateral should we ever be found to have violated this pledge.
We do not support other block producers who might choose to participate in this kind of activity, and take something of a less than favorable view of block producer candidates who air-drop free tokens to EOS stakeholders, when these free tokens might be of value only if those BP candidates are elected by those who received the free tokens. This could easily be construed as an attempt to influence voting for personal financial gain of the voter, rather than voting for the candidates who might best grow and support the EOS blockchain.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
EOS the World Ambassadors
EOS the World has a growing team of enthusiastic young volunteers representing nations all over the globe who stand ready to support our philanthropic efforts in their home countries. They will assist our efforts on the ground with community education, organizing meet-ups, and facilitating our subsidized support for promising dApp developers. We hope to have at least one excellent ambassador in as many countries as we can, more in larger, more developed, or rapidly progressing countries. These ambassadors will be coordinating education to the community, nurturing dApp developers, and managing brick and mortar EOS Data Centers.
