That sounds like a great strategy! I agree, dollar cost averaging will probably make the most sense over the long term. Of course, there's always that temptation to play the market a bit and try to get lucky. Even if the price settles around, say, $1 or so, if it trades for much higher than that in the beginning, there will be some great opportunities to increase your holdings, depending on your risk profile.
I wonder... will the price start high and essentially go down for next 365 days? Will investors be okay with that? Seems that was the pattern Steemit and Bitshares followed.
When does the EOS ICO start?
I don't think anyone knows that yet :p
Looks like they restarted their TEST run. I bought some test EOS yesterday in window #2, but now the current window is back to window #1.
I'll be sure to mention if I spot anything around the LIVE run.
Dear EOS.IO Community,
Today we are excited to announce our Token Distribution schedule, which will commence June 26th 2017 at 13:00 UTC.
Good question. I'm not sure about that. It will definitely have a high, sustained inflation rate, especially early on, which could exert downside pressure on the price, but then again those holding the tokens could be relatively strong hands that are long-term bullish. If I remember correctly, part of the issue with the big crash in Steem price was that the volume was super low when it started trading since it was pretty much all locked in Steem Power, which will be a different scenario from this one. It's hard to guess what will happen. Novel ICO model could have completely novel price action! :)
