It is just crazy that happening with EOS price. It is too early to pay more than $1 for one token.

Many ICOs are just big dreams and promises. Not this one.
I don't doubt that Dan can deliver a product, but it is still an idea at this point.
This EOS idea already has the same functionality as bitcoin (transfers, plus probably arbitrary contracts, I'm not sure) and it is even more efficient. I don't get why people stay so attached to bitcoin nowadays.
It is because of it's reputation, man. You know many coins, but normal people just know bitcoin.

invest in good graphics-cards, calculate your electricity consumtion/bill, invest in high quality power-supply for the whole rig. That thing whill run 24/7 so alot of electricity going thru there. The last thing you want is your house burning down.

I've tried to claim my tokens on MyEtherWallet many times, doing it exactly as I've seen posted above. In my transactions it shows transfers to EOS Crowdsale, so I know I sent them correctly, but every time I follow the instructions above nothing appears in my tokens. Can anyone help? Many thanks.

I am not so sure the price will go down. Iniitial token price from the 5 day raise was $0.97 and today's price has already exceeded that with over 3 hours left to go. Yes, I subscribed for more today and they cost me 0.00624 ETH per token - so yes up to a price of around $1.75 per token - the market price for EOS then jumped immediately to where it is trading now - which is around the low $2 range - currently approx $2.40.
Also there's already been 6,500 ETH committed for this 24 hour token sale with 15 hours to go so my gut feeling is that it's gonna reach a yet higher token price.
Lastly I feel that once this massive ICO result hits the news next week - lots more people will have heard about it and will be trying to buy in - so the price could go up yet further (for now).
I have been astonished by the demand for EOS - but then I myself do think EOS is the most serious competition to Ethereum - so would not be over-valued at 10 times this valuation.
Good luck - either way (I've bought my fill now - just bought the remaining few on bitfinex at $2.35) and will be holding tight ;-)

and the market cap of EOS is not there as wll.
and he ranks of EOS IS 753 in coinmarketcap.

Agreed. It is currently valued at almost $3 billion. That would put it at 4th in cryptocurrency market cap, ahead of Litecoin. With no working product, I think this will be WAY lower in the coming weeks.

Why do people buy EOS on the exchanges when you can buy them from EOS.io directly?
also if you are US citizen and you wanna play by the rules you are legally prohibited from ICO
The same people may also be buying them from EOS.io directly. But keep in mind, you don't know exactly what price or quantity you'll get from EOS.io until after the current period closes. Whereas from exchanges you know exactly what price you're getting them and quantity. Think of buyers who believe accumulating EOS sooner than later is a good strategy.

also for the traders that don't have the time to follow the technical procedure and risk making a mistake which could result in them losing their investment into the EOS ICO. At least with an exchange they know what to expect when they trade for the EOS.
But that brings back to the first question, if it was illegal for EOS to sell to USA, why would kraken be allowed to sell securities to us??

right now it's a 'promise' that a new blockchain platform will be built that's similar to ethereum but scalable in a way that ethereum isn't. you'd be getting in on the groundfloor of something that could be huge like investing in bell telephone before it hit the market ;)
they are trying to scale other cryptos though.. and if they succeed before EOS is up and running... ouch

yeah i've followed the my ether wallet instructions and get an error telling me i dont have enough gas to complete the transaction. I thought this was a request to claim not a request to send? I'm a newb and confused....any advice?

Once they are claimed do I transfer them from the eos distribution app or from metamask ?. I don't see them in metamask but on the eos distribution app I see them as claimed ?.
As for now they are valued pretty high and i'm happy with that. The platform has great potential.
In metamask you can add the token contract ID manually. I found it on etherscan when I looked at my metamask wallet address. It shows up now. You can't send them directly from there however if you're trying to trade. I hear if you go to https://wallet.ethereum.org you can do a bit more.

Honestly, I just can't keep up with all these damn ICOs. The amount of research one has to do is daunting, and even if you put in the work, you still don't know if half the shit you've read is accurate.

wow...watched eos go up to $6.90 on kraken yesterday and by the time i got home from work it was back below $4.00....i sold a portion at $4.50 and was very happy...got my capital back out and the rest is profits!

With every 23 hours, 2 million token distributed, i think the price will be decreased, after all token distributed market cap must be on $1b to keep price on $1
still i believe one should by now- because of hype, price will be jumping for some days, thrpugh increases and decreases it's possible to lift some cash on trading.

I have a hard time understanding how anyone could sell for a profit on the exchange when you can still get in on the crowd-sale? 651,902 ETH were contributed in the first phase for 200 million tokens. That's 307 tokens per Ether. That's pretty much the average price of Ether over the past week ~= $300. And now EOS is $1 USD a token on coinmarketcap.

I would say that it is a huge endorsement on the future prospects of EOS from BFX .
I was trying to get a nice arb from bitfinex to kraken. Luckily was able to take some profit.
HOW DO I GET COINS AFTER CONVERTING INTO ETHEREUM FROM STEEM . I HAVE PUT VALID ADDRESS OF JAXX.
