The Nanjing meet-up of " Hello EOS Hello Friends" national roadshow series successfully ended on September 15.
Following the meetups in Hangzhou, Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Chengdu and Xiamen, the activity held in Nanjing is the 7th meet-up in the series sponsored by HelloEOS. Guests from D3J, Starteos, eoswing and EOSeco were invited to discuss the EOS ecological construction and development.

Security Issues

Hackers exploited EOSBet vulnerabilities and stole 40,000 EOS.
40,000 EOS (equal to about $200,000) was stolen from the operating wallet of EOSBet by abusing some vulnerabilities in its smart contract. An EOSBet spokesperson informed users that the bug is not minor as was stated before, and they are still doing forensics and piecing together what happened.

Beware of fake EOSBet' official accounts and frauds.
The EOS account named eosbetdicell disguises itself as the official EOSBet account (eosbetdice11) and sends out a memo ad of a compensation statement. We would like to remind the users to carefully identify the information, pay attention to property security and not transfer the funds to unfamiliar accounts.

Breakdown of Jungle testnet due to a user's improper operations.
Due to a user's poorly abusing of "faucet", Jungle testnet recently suffered a breakdown. The user redeemed a great amount of "Jungle EOS" and then voted for some disreputable nodes. The website resumed running by shutting down all the nodes and using a backup to reset the network.

EOS Mainnet Updates

Eosio's #BuiltOnEOSIO series interviewed Hirevibes, an EOS-based decentralized recruitment platform featured in economic and environmental incentives.

Eosio V1.2.5 upgrade was released.
This release provides bug fixes, including memory leaks in non-applied transactions, removing Mlock and deleting unwanted libs from Docker build.

EOS's Daily Dapp users and volumes exceeded Ethereum.
According to a Sludgefeed report, EOS had 11,428 Dapp users in the last 24 hours, based on data compiled by the digital money market researcher Kevinrooke, while the Ethereum network was 10,562. In addition, EOS had a 7-day Dapp volume of $48 million and Ethereum had only $26 million.

BM : Using distribution of skills to justify an unjust current distribution is a red herring.
A member of the URI Telegraph Group had argued against the current distribution of BM's reference, and said that, although resources are now unevenly distributed, it is difficult to achieve a more equitable distribution in a successful way. BM replied that winning the lottery and getting a small portion of the money is very different; the problem is that attracting "bad people" (wrong crowd) is a legitimate challenge, and using distributive skills to prove an unjust distribution system is not a matter of shifting the subject.

BM revealed in the telegram group that Rex is basically ready.
He said that Rex is working and could be deployed so long as voting with lent tokens isn't needed. A member asked if the stake to Rex would have the right to vote. BM answered that we are adding auto renew.

• The EOS Asia announced to run Eospixels next week. By using EOS Pixels, users can draw pictures with other EOS community members on the EOS blockchain.

• EOSNation' CTO Denis and Eostribe's Steve jointly developed a new tool based on EOS for accounting needs - EOSReceipt (https://eosreceipt.io/). This is a practical tool for users to generate transfer receipts and save directly to the computer.

• EOSSeoul released its financial information. In the first half of 2018, its BP earning is about KRW 80 million (RMB 480,000), while the expenditures of KRW 290 million (RMB 1.76 million), with a loss of KRW 210 million (RMB 1.28 million).

• EOS Cafe launched a new product, Blok.io desktop. As a desktop app, it is a complete EOS block browser and wallet that integrates and supports scatter and ledger.

DApps' Updates

• The Bloks PC version was released. The EOS blockchain browser Bloks can now be installed on the PC.

• HorusPay temporarily raised the collateral reward. eosCASH is a stable coin created by HorusPay. If HORUS is put up as a collateral, it can generate tokens of eosCASH. Holders can mortgage HORUS at eostoolkit.io but should be wary of private key leaks and asset losses.

• Bithumb will temporarily stop EOS withdrawal services. Bithumb officially announced that due to the instability of the EOS mainnet, some of the transactions are not recorded. Withdrawasl service related to EOS will be temporarily suspended until the mainnet is stable.

• Supported by Bancor, the EOS-based communications software Sense.chat (similar to WeChat which supports text, voice and video call) has entered the closed beta test phase.

• MyWish released new tokens based on EOS. DAPP. MyWish, originally based on Ethereum, decided to build DAPP on EOS and issued EOS-based EOSISH.

• EOS-based decentralized exchange EOSDAQ signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with South Korea's top security company STEALIEN. The fields of cooperation include: 1. Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing, and 2. Security Strategy and Consulting.

• Bitfinex will launch beta version of EOSfinex on September 26 at the globalized BlockchainLive in London.

• HorusPay (horuspay.io) formed a strategic partnership with Scatter (get-scatter.com) to create the world's first enterprise-ready payroll disbursement tool.
