EOS is one of the big gainers today, up above $8,00 USD once again - a nice 8% gain. A lot of positive news is coming out at the same time as different technical indicators are looking more bullish as well.
These past couple of days more EOS airdrops has started trading on Chaince. Everipedia (IQ), Chaince(CET) and Oracle Chain(OCT) are all doing great. Chaince is trading at 0,0266 EOS and IQ at 0,0079 EOS. OCT does hower not look like an airdropped token. I can't see it anywhere and it is not mentioned anywhere as an airdrop.
Ram prices seems to have stabilized at around 0,34 EOS after a dip to around 0,26 EOS. Personally I have not been trading it for some time now as I have made a nice profit and is not willing to take the high risk that I think is associated with it right now.
Today Blackrock announced that they are looking into cryptos. This is not big news, as all big financial institutions are doing this. What is more interesting is that their CEO comes out and says that there is ZERO interest from investors to buy crypto. Weell..I doubt that. But he says that so that the prices does not run away and leaves their investors with a bad purchasing price.
Block.one Closes Strategic Investment Round Led by Peter Thiel and Bitmain
Block.one, publisher of the EOSIO blockchain protocol, a high performance blockchain platform for decentralized applications, announced today that world-renowned venture capitalist and entrepreneur Peter Thiel has invested in the company, along with other notable investors, Bitmain, Louis Bacon, and Alan Howard. This round follows an earlier round led by Christian Angermayer, Lansdowne Investment Company Ltd, and Galaxy Digital’s Mike Novogratz.
This is of course amazing news for EOS. Peter Thiel is a big name and early investor of among other companies, Facebook and the founder of Paypal. Mike Novogratz is another big name in crypto and investing.

Record High TPS of 1275
EOS made a record high of 1275 transactions per second. In comparison VISA is doing around 1668 TPS. Also keep in mind that the EOS network is continuously spammed, but there is not congestion. So instead of focusing on the fact that ETH network can't handle some spam and has 14,000 unconfirmed transactions and is at 100% capacity with 700,000 operations on the blockchain at 100% capacity - we should focus on the fact that EOS is running smoothly with 400,000 operations at 0,04% capacity. What brings you to choose EOS as your favorite coin?
Good question. To sum it up, @rolflocher, it is the fact that they really have some good ideas on how to bridge the gap between the difficult world of crypto and creating a more seamless experience for users. Which is of course going to drive adoption.
I also love the airdrop model and the speculation in the early phase :)
