What a busy couple of weeks for CryptoLions! This will be an update of our work, plus screenshots of some of the interesting things Dan Larimer said in the Jungle Testnet Telegram chat.
Meetups, Conferences, BP Panel
- On May 17th, Bohdan and Roman were in Stockholm for the Bloxpo Conference. It was fun to meet our long-time online acquaintances, @xebb and Michael Yeats of @eosdac.
Here is Bohdan managing the Jungle Testnet through mobile phone and airport wifi:
- On May 21st, we participated in the third Block Producer Panel discussion together with EOS New York, EOS HK, EOS Nation, EOSIOSG and EOSVibes.
(it starts at 1h28m30s)
We stated our position that we prefer one main EOS chain, that we like the idea of a random drawing from successful launches, and that we will not ourselves be leading any launch.
On May 22nd, we were happy to join @eosnation via recorded video for their meetup in Odesa Ukraine.
Tomorrow we are hosting a Meetup in L'viv, Ukraine: https://www.meetup.com/ru-RU/Eos-Ukraine-Meetup/events/250773957/
Earlier, Sudip, our business manager paid a visit to Consensus NY.
Jungle Testnet
- The Jungle Testnet has become our niche.
We will focus making it a great training and testing environment both before and after the launch of the main chain. The community which has gathered there is incredible. We will do our best to provide them them the best testing and training environment possible.
We are honored and thrilled to have participation from the core devs, including Bytemaster himself. We've set up GrayLog on a cluster of three servers to collect logs from block producers and make them accessible to core developers.
- On the 21st, we found what seemed like a significant resynchronization bug. The core devs were all over it and released an update within 24 hours.
- Resync and Replay
- Dan asked for feedback on Name Distribution & Namespaces, and suggested it was the last major feature before 1.0.
- An answer to the question of how EOS prevents spam attacks.
- Dan stressed some standards for BPs:
- It's a big honor to get a shout out in this EOSIO github release.
Of particular note is the EOS Jungle Testnet (http://dev.cryptolions.io) which has been running an earlier build (DAWN-2018-05-16) for the last few days and has participation from over 70 nodes.
- Bohdan spent some time trying a new outdoor office, but a light rain changed his plans.
We published this tool to spam the testnet with transactions: https://github.com/CryptoLions/TX-test-sender
We published these scripts which simplify the booting of an EOS blockchain and management of a node https://github.com/CryptoLions/EOS-Boot-Steps-dawn4
Small testnet Monitor updates:
fixed Blocks count in System tab,
fixed account_info for short accounts,
changed getting system tab info from get table to system listproducres (sorted by votes),
added % of total votes

It was a huge compliment for Thomas Cox to share this picture with the Testnet monitor showing in the Block 1 office:
Feels great for a lot of hard work to be recognized. We're thrilled to be a part of this community.
- A new request from Bytemaster.
Partnerships
- We are thrilled to discuss a partnership with @hacken (hacken.io), a community of white-hat hackers. Over the medium term they'll be helping us secure and stress test our BP node, and can provide this service to other BPs too. They considering moving Hacken to EOS. Should they make this wise decision, we will help them transition.
Legal
- Our legal partners at Inn Law are looking more closely to see whether BaFin requirements apply to us. Unfortunately our plans to create a transparent and fully compliant legal entity are delayed pending the result of this inquiry.
Misc
- We found this door handle which we desperately want to have in our office.
Great work! You guys are really setting the standard. Hope you are top 21. I'll be voting for you.
Thanks. In the words of a legendary Rugby coach -- "Be grateful for everything, entitled to nothing." As long as we'll be able to cover our operating expenses and pay ourselves more or less market rates, we'll be in business.
great stuff guys, really pleased to be a part of the Jungle!
