this cryptocurrency is still on early stage, however, I think I take the suggestion of @jerrybanfield regarding this, willing to wait for 1 year before I invested in a so early stage cryptocurrency. Still, great article @crypto
Yes, Jerry have a good, sober point. But enthusiasm and hipe is good too, people will risk, will be dawn for a couple of years, but in the end, many of them will stay invested and will be rewarded. Maybe ;-)

I somewhat agree with him on this, but having missed Microsoft at $5 a share back in 1994, I've learned if you believe in a technology or the developer, it doesn't hurt to put a little down and then just wait for the technology to grow into itself. I did that with with Ethereum at $11 in early 2016, having just found out about it, and spending two days researching it.
Do your due diligence on the tech, the developer, and whether or not it's a disruptor in it's category. That helps you make the right decision, as to whether or not to invest it in the early stages.

It all depends.. buying coins with unlimited supply such as ETH are asking for disaster. Also stay away from anything promoted by the likes of Bloomberg and the mainstream media.
Clever indeed. Not many people know that Ethereum has no cap. They could literally issue as many tokens as they want! Sounds like a familiar story? The American dollar.
The fact that Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan among others are backing Ethereum should ring alarm bells to any likely investor. Look at it's price in the last month or so. They dumped it took all the n00bs money with them. Buyer beware of any coin that is partially pre-mined also.
Ethereum miners and developers have a vested interest in higher prices. Even if supply is unlimited, the major of entities involved benefit from higher prices.

EOS does seem to have a lot of potential but Iam concerned with current valuations. At $1.8-1.9 a token and a total of one billion tokens st the end of the presale, that gives a market cap of just shy of $2 billion all for something that does not exist yet!! Seems a little steep.

There are so many projects out there right now that its overwhelming for new people coming in. They have a hard time following along and realizing the importance of the distinctions between he currencies/assets. Currently EOS tokens aren't being distributed as part of an ICO as Dan said in his interview with Jeff, there is a difference between selling a product and crowdfunding. They got all the startup money from the initial 200Mil.

Here is what many people have already figured out. Simply, this is the biggest game changer of them all. It's going to fulfill the promise not only of Ethereum but the whole Crypto currency phenomena and the interactive Internet itself, as well as realize the freedom-based dreams of Murray Rothbard, Ron Paul and countless others!

However all this has nothing to do with how it's going to play out as an investment in the short term. That I don't know.
EOS contains the architecture to build autonomous organizational structures of our/your own. Call them super, multi-faceted community/enterprise Web Sites, your own specialized store or market, bank, school, health center, your own virtual community, and even your own government that actually works to reduce conflict and solve problems.
And it's not just about One Guy either. Dan will continue to attract the very best talent but he cares nothing about being some kind of Supreme Leader. Are you going to be jealous about a cog in the wheel? That's a waste of energy. Whatever is written in our heart, that's all that matters, let's manifest it.

I just wrote a post about EOS today as well! I'm thinking EOS is going to give ETH a big run for its money. The fact that its already POS and doesn't charge 'GAS' to use the service is going to really put an obstacle in front of ETH to remain dominant after BTC.
Nice Vid Crypt0. You are a gem among your peers. Level-headed and intelligent. I have been DCAing into EOS through their distribution system. I'd recommend this way, as it's fun and a good user experience (I'd never used Metamask before - good functionality) and usually the price on exchanges follows the ICO price.

I was told to make sure I register the public keys after you buy EOS otherwise the coins will be worthless once the ICO is over. Does this need to be done if I purchased EOS over Kraken?
Good question.... id like to know the answer too....
EOS's best bet is to capitalize on the parallel processing side of things. Vanilla Ethereum is designed more to be a basic foundation for Dapps (Golem/iExec) whereas EOS will be able to output a lot of compute power without the use of a Dapp like Golem. The challenge with all of this is successfully applying it to the consensus layer which I think EOS can do with enough RnD, testing, and time.
Ethereum isn't interested in attempting all of this on the consensus layer like EOS and instead relies on Dapps to handle those types of features. If EOS can pull it off it will be a valuable chain indeed.

EOS has a lot of potential but I am not a big fan of the overly long ICO process as it seems to limit its potential short term price rises quite substantially. That being said I still made sure to load up on at least a bit of EOS which I plan to HODL for the long run as I feel it will likely do quite well at some point down the line.

EOS could definitely dominate. From what I read about it, it seems like it could be excellent competitor against Ethereum.

Yes, I can see that happening. Steem actually has great technology behind it. I can only see EOS being better and more developed.

I don't want to bash EOS because I think it's huge when it's done... but it's still a long time to go and there are currently only subtokens available.
Also does the quoted paragraph from the EOS.IO FAQ guarantee native tokens or not? I don't understand it...

For their legal liability they cannot guarantee that the blockchain will in fact launch after the project is done. Its pretty much guaranteed however... That would be like building a badass hot-rod and then not using it because you didn't want to connect the engine to the body.

At the current price it's not a high risk investment (depending on how much you buy...)

But those behind it will have 100's of millions wether they connect that engine or not. This is why I only invest in coins like NEO, the developers hold 50 million NEO that can only be released in stages. Their wealth literally depends on how good they make their system. The EOS team already have the wealth, so anything after that is charity work. I hope they are feeling generous for your sake...

I am a new user hear on steemit, but I am going to do a post about adding EOS to my Exodus Wallet. In the US people can not purchase EOS by the rules prescribed. One can exchange BTC for EOS in the Exodus wallet. It is a wonderful application/wallet and is easy to use for a mew person (and older in age) to use and Trust is a large factor, with all the scams out there. Also, I have begun to follow you tonight.
His name and work is enough for people to invest in it. But his reputation of moving on to next makes me worry. I mean bitshares, steemit and now eos. I hope he holds on to this.

I am not bashing him, I am just telling the truth. Dan also trying to drained Ethereum by selling those useless EOS tokens using the ethereum network for a period of one year. What's the intention on that?
The EOS platform hasn't started its engine yet, so the best way for people to claim a stake in the product is through Ethereum. The EOS tokens are representative of value in a platform that is still in development.
Exactly so my point is why invest on EOS that's in development when something is already made available that solves the same issues? #Antshares
