💖 EOS.IO Fan Art Challenge #1 [Beyondbits & EOSBits & OPEN.EOS Prizes Inside]

As blockchain technology continues to evolve at break-neck speeds and push the limits of decentralized data storage, transaction speed and self-governance, we don't have to look too far to see the true industry leaders in STEEM, Bitshares, and the soon-to-be-released EOSIO, even though they are often overlooked or dismissed in the mainstream discussion.

With the recent CryptoKitties debacle exposing the short-comings of the Etheruem network and PoW systems in general, we have to take a moment to realize just how spoiled we are with the ease-of-use that comes with DPoS chains like STEEM and Bitshares. Transactions are nearly instant, and verything happens in the background for the best possible user experience, like when you click "upvote", or create a new post or comment. Not to mention the fact that you pay ZERO FEES on the front-end for those transactions on the STEEM blockchain. Have you tired to buy or sell a Crypto Kitty yet? Who has time to calculate ETH and GAS fees just to sell a virtual cat - and why should you have to pay a fee to do that anyway?!

The Dawn of a new age in blockchain technology is just over the horizon, and we're here to witness it's rise. It's very important that we all understand how monumental this next leap forward really is. You don't have to be a coder to help bring EOSIO to the world, by simply sharing information and showing your support in your social media circles you can be play a roll in gradually building awareness.

What are Beyondbits and EOSBits?

Beyondbits and EOSBits started as a conversations in the BeyondBitcoin hangout series shortly after Steem was launched historically in those very hangouts. It began as "community tokens" or "tag coins". These cross-chain tokens give their holders the power to Summon a Whalevote to posts without having to pay for attention. And they are only given to people who Win Contests and do other things of value to the community!
