During Moon Jae-in’s state visit to India, First Lady Kim Jung-sook was taken on a tour of the tomb of Humayun, second emperor of the Mughal Empire known for his patience and peaceful personality.

However, what caught the most attention of reporters during this visit was the orange bag hanging from the shoulder of Kim’s Senior Private Secretary. This bag was given to the President and First Lady by the PyeongChang Olympics Organizing Committee and volunteers, and was made by recycling banners from the games in the hopes of reducing waste. It seems like through her choice of bag, the First Lady will be bringing a lot more attention to the practice of reducing waste by recycling items originally intended for one-time use.
