How to make sure there won’t be any surprises at the visa interview

in #entrepreneur8 years ago

This example is also applicable to a Job Interview.

 Going through the hassle of getting your visa seems like such a bore, but unfortunately it’s something that you have to get done. Work now so you can party later, that’s basically what it’s about. The VISA USA ESTA at http://www.estausavisa.net might change your perspective on the situation, however you should still hang on tight to these super useful tips regarding the visa interview. Usually, if all your stuff is in order then you can pretty much count yourself in, but there’s no harm in making sure that you won’t be left out of what could be the time of your life. So if you want to know just how you can improve your chances of getting a visa dramatically, follow these very simple yet efficient tips. Remember that the interviewers are humans too, meaning that they will react in a human manner to what you do and say, or what you don’t do or don’t say. That being said, let’s get straight to the most important tips you should know about.

Drop the casual attire for a day

It’s important that you look as presentable as possible for this event because your visa hangs in the balance. People respond very well to people dressed professionally or in classy clothes. Get your best suit or dress out of the closet and if you don’t one of them, take a trip to the mall ASAP. If you’re wearing a suit, make sure to also wear a tie. Interviewers will appreciate a classy tie that goes with the suit. It shows commitment and that you’re willing to go all the way.

Show them that you’re confident and secure, even if you aren’t

It’s normal to have different emotions during things like these, but it’s also super important to not let them see it. If they see you incredibly nervous or shaking the entire interview you can pretty much guess what that means for your interview and chances. Detach yourself from any crippling fears you might have and try to remember that there’s nothing to fear. Try to be confident in your aptitude and stand tall.

Don’t be afraid to ask the interviewer to repeat themselves

Often times during interviews, there might be something wrong with the microphone or maybe the interviewer has an accent that makes them harder to understand. If they say something that you didn’t catch, there’s no need to be alarmed. There’s no shame or sign of disrespect in asking them kindly to repeat. You can be very polite about it and address them with forms like “sir” or “madam”. Even if you misunderstand them for a second time, it’s still OK to ask them to repeat. Keep in mind that we’re all human and they won’t be annoyed by a genuine request that seeks the benefit of the conversation.

Thank you for your great advice in advance! I heard that the US visa application is freaking strict, most of all, it is very very harsh to single girls, guess the US government assumes everyone wanna get married in the US? lol
Just a little point to note, for a job interview, I reckon it is great to ask question in the end of the interview, for instance, by asking the team structure or the brief job duty if you may get the job, to show you sincerely want the job and will work industrious and serious in the future.

@Yehey

sensible advice, main thing is don't look like a prat

I have gone through with 3 visa interviews this year and none of the visa is refused.
Tip 1: speak truth
Tip2: Don't get Panic
Tip3: No need to worry if additional information is required through email etc.

Ps: Updated your article thanks for share, will try to write my experience as well.
