Hey steemians, how are you? It's been a while since my last publication so if you do not remember me, I'll show you again, I'm Jacks and this is Re-movie, a section in which I give my opinion of some series or movie that I liked a lot, and good today it plays Daredevil of Netflix.
Before I start with this kind of review, I should tell you that I am not a fan of the comics of Marvel or DC Comics and that in fact, unlike some creators of content both of Steemit as of Youtube that also dedicate themselves to make reviews I do not think that the films of Marvel are a masterpieces of the cinematography, that from my point of view are not, but "for tastes there are colors" right? ". Far from being "masterpieces" as some call them, I consider that superhero movies are works that you can watch to pass the time. Although do not be confused with everything I said before, I do not mean that I dislike the movies of superheroes in their entirety, in fact some seem entertaining and some have even liked me enough to see them more than three times, see Black Panther, Wonder Woman, Logan. All the works mentioned above on a personal level seem to me to be the best superhero movies I have seen in the last five years. In short, I think we have already clarified that I am not a fan of this kind of works, let's continue with what really brought them here.
"Matt Murdock is a New York lawyer from the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood of New York. Matt is a man who as a child was blinded in an accident, this increased his remaining four senses giving him superhuman senses. Matt Murdock fights in the name of justice, by day as a lawyer and by night as a vigilante who punishes the criminals by being known as The Hell's Kitchen Devil, the demon...Daredevil. "
Prepare yourself why I'll say it again and forgive me for repeating myself, I'm not a fan of what Marvel or DC Comics, and personally I do not usually like the series or movies of super heroes for the following reason: These works are "adaptations" that most do not possess the spirit of the original work. Although of course, there are also works that do achieve this last and such is the case of the adaptation of Netflix, and if I can say it achieves it in a simply spectacular way. Something I love about this series is that it is very different from what we usually offer the adaptations of comics like "The Flash", "Arrow" or "Agents of Shield ", Daredevil unlike the aforementioned has a serious plot where their chapters are intertwined with each other, no conclusive episodes in the style of Pokemon o Scooby Doo.
Daredevil has a serious story, dark and realistic, good as realistic as you can be in a world full of superheroes. The series has nothing to do with the classic caricature to which we have become accustomed in this type of productions. In the series we will not see a villain with a ridiculous costume in each chapter, we will see something much more real, from drug trafficking to trafficking in white, real estate speculation and even homicides. No doubt this series is adult and violent, from the beginning we will see explicit violence with quite graphic scenes that have a lot of broken bones and blood. In a nutshell Daredevil is a real series...Something hard to believe within the genre.
Although clear is also suitable to recognize the great work of all who are part of what is Daredevil, as this series is what it is thanks to the great script and the fantastic cast that has the series, especially thanks to the work of the British Charlie Cox who plays Matt Murdock in the series in an incredible way, making him a very credible character. And I highlight the work of Charlie Cox why it makes Daredevil what it really is: A human. He is not a God like Thor, he does not possess a costume that allows him to perform incredible feats like Iron Man and does not have the incredible strength of Hulk. Matt Murdock is a man who was blind when he was 9 years old after a truck full of chemicals crashed and spilled its contents everywhere including the eyes of little Matt, as a result of this he would end up developing an extreme exacerbation of all his senses remaining. And yes, I know very well that "a blind guy delivering beating through the streets of New York" sounds little credible, but the actor's work makes it look real.
Also noteworthy is the work of Vicent D'Onofrio as Kingpin better known as Wilson Frisk and Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle A.K.A The Punisher. In general the * casting * of the series is great, each actor perfectly interprets his character. Deborah Ann Woll with the character of Karen and Elden Henson as Foggy do a great job. Henson with his performance makes us forget the fool Foggy of the 2003 film. Without doubt all the actors make a great performance in this cinematographic work.
Daredevil is definitely what I needed Marvel. It is a series that takes full advantage of its format, since the long duration of the episodes allows the characters to develop in a great way. Although of course, the first chapters of the series are too focused on the origin and therefore the rhythm of the series is a little slow and does not have much intensity, but chapter by chapter the series is going up the pace, each chapter being better than the previous. Daredevil has the perfect combination of action and intrigue, if there are moments when we can think that all the dialogues are just an excuse to get to the blows, but this series is not like those productions where you can skip parts and you would not miss anything important, in Daredevil everything is perfectly combined, nothing left over and nothing is missing, every scene is there for a reason.
Something that I love about this series are the moral questions that Matt asks, questions like the meaning of justice. And is that the series has chapters entirely dedicated to the ideological conflicts of its characters, all this is possible thanks to the depth of characters that the series has. It is not uncommon for us to identify ourselves in a certain way with The Punisher, because he is a character we can understand, we can feel sorry for him and can even fall for you. And this does not happen only with this character, because the scriptwriters treat all the characters with the respect they deserve. Heroes, villains or just someone who happened to happen there, the development that is given to the characters is simply great.
As for the technical aspect, the scenarios and the camera work is amazing, everything is done so perfectly that it makes you feel like you are on the streets of New York. And the action scenes are simply amazing, they are choreographed in an incredible way, there are no strings and there are not those jumps and cartwheels, yes, all the movements are justified, every turn, every punch, every kick, every little blow obeys the cold logic of ending the opponent. And the soundtrack, it's just ten out of ten.
I think Daredevil is a series that gets the same thing that got the saga of "The Dark Knight" with Batman, both productions get to bring the heroes of the comics to the real world. Although there are details that could not be liked by all who see the series, as the trite resource in Netflix productions of putting flashbacks that work to create a kind of parallelism between both timelines, the which ones work? Yes, but after seeing it in numerous series of Netflix like Thirteen Reasons Why and Orange is the New Black it can be something repetitive and tedious, although of course, this does not mean that Daredevil being a series of superheroes is the best I've seen.
Daredevil could be perfectly the best series based on a comic of superheroes that I have seen. And personally I think it's the best thing that has Marvel. The series has a hero and a story inspired by the classics of the character as "The man without fear" by Frank Miller, comic on which the series is based mainly, although we will also see scenes inspired by Born Again, another great work of the character. Besides the series has a lot of easter eggs * and winks for the followers of the comics, but do not think that it is necessary to read the comics to see the series, why without having read a page of the comics, Daredevil may turn out to be a great experience. Now there remains a question to be answered. Do I recommend Daredevil? Yes, I totally recommend it because it is a series that can be liked by fans of the series of superheroes as well as anyone else.
Anyway, this is all for now, I hope you have enjoyed this edition of Re-movie, and if so, do not forget to leave your great vote. By the way soon Daredevil will debut its third season, this is something that excites me a lot, I can not wait to see it and I think I'm not the only one, if you already saw the series you can leave me in the comments your opinion about the first and the second season, I will be reading them. Well, I say goodbye. See you again!
I really loved this serie, and season 3 is coming!!
