if you watch football alot or a fan on the English premier league (Barclays premier league) The name Dele Alli wont be a new thing to you. Bamidele Jermaine Alli (full name) is a Nigerian born English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur and the England national team. Dele Alli was Born and raised in Milton Keynes by a Nigerian father and an English mother, he joined the youth system at Milton Keynes Dons aged 11 and broke into the first team five years later, Alli is widely considered one of the best young midfielders of his generation, and has won PFA Young Player of the Year twice in a row while only 21. On February 2015, it was reported that John Fashanu would try to convince Alli to play for Nigeria. However, on 1 October of that year, he was included in Roy Hodgson 's England squad for the final UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying matches against Estonia and Lithuania, and that was how he never played for Nigeria but we all wish pray he remembers us someday.
2. Emmanuel Adebayor

Adebayor a Nigerian by birth is a Togolese professional footballer currently playing for İstanbul Başakşehir. Adebayor's story was another case, he was eligible to play for Nigeria but he never did, he gave excuses that Nigeria was filled with good strikers as of the 1990s and he went ahead to represent the country of his birth. Adebayor helped Togo qualify for the 2006 Africa Cup of Nations after scoring 11 goals in the qualifiers, more than any other player in the African qualifiers. And he went ahead wining African Footballer of the Year on the 10 February 2009, at an awards ceremony held in Lagos , Nigeria.
3. David Alaba

David alaba is no doubt one of the best defenders in the world, he plays defence wing for bayern munich and Austria. Alaba was indeed a big surprise to me, as a gamer i always use bayer munich while playing PES and i love using alaba as my right defence cause of his stamina and speed so i decided to google about him one day and i was very surprised, been born by a Nigerian father and an austrian mother was never priveleged to play for Nigeria on like the two aforementioned, he was the youngest player to ever play for the Austrian Senior team at 17 was indeed a great record. Currently 25 and has more to offer after renewing his deal with bayern we hope he delivers well and the Nigerian football federation would remeber him someday.
4. Stefano chuka Okaka

Okaka born 9 August 1989 by Nigerian parents is an Italian footballer who plays currently as a Forward for Premier League club Watford and Italian National team. I knew about Okaka same way i knew about Alaba from PES he was known as Stefano and a good Forward and i decided to google about him also and boom he was a Nigerian, but saw no news about him and Nigeria guess he was never interested to play for the super eagles.
5. Colly Barnes Eze

The name Colly Ezeh isnt that popular in Nigeria cause no one watches chinese football in Nigeria, i knew about Ezeh from super sport biltz channel and i got interested in him cause we both bare same surname(Eze) And after i did my research on him i found out he was a Nigerian and have played for 14 chinese teams. Eze is 35 currently and plays for Hong Kong hasnt been offered any chance to play for Nigeria and its almost end of his career, we wish him well tho.
6. Ross Barkley

Ross Barkley a 23year old professional English footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Premier League club Everton and the England national team, and is currently on loan to leeds United. Barkley was eligible to represent both England and Nigeria as he has a Nigerian grandfather. Barkley opted to represent his country of birth. He has represented England at under-16 , under-17 , under-19 , under-20 , under-21 and senior level and hasnt even stepped his foot on Nigerian soil. :-( Well, i wont blame him cause his Nigerian origin was too far, would have done same. ;-)
7. Ikechi Anya

images (4).jpg

Anya a 23 year old midfielder who plays for an English side Derby county and play professionally for the scortish senior team. I would say he is the most confused among all mentioned cause i dont even understand him. Anya's father is a Nigerian research scientist of the Igbo ethnic group and his mother a Romanian economist. The couple met while studying in Bucharest. After finishing their studies, his parents moved to Scotland in the late 1980s for his father to obtain his doctorate in metallurgy. Anya was born in Glasgow , Scotland and spent his early childhood in the Castlemilk area, and he grew up playing for scotland not even Bulgaria or Nigeria (na wa o... Nigerians would say). Has been offered many chances of playing for Nigeria and turn down all, so bad :-( We pray he recognise himself and come back home.
And thats a wrap, there you have it Top 7 Nigerian footballers that doesnt plays for the super eagles
