Owambe wahala

in #entertainment7 years ago

My Saturday starts from Sunday, funny, you think? Just wait, let me break it down for you. After my party on Saturday, I'm usually too tired to go to church unless of course there is thanksgiving in church. My name is Susan a.k.a iya risi of the most high God and "mowanbe". I always have parties to attend and each time, I promise myself not to go through the stress anymore, but who am I kidding?
After collecting my dress from the tailor, which is a struggle on its own, I also have to plan for makeup, jewellery, gele, shoes, perfume, money and the ginger to shaku shaku at the wedding. As a correct owambe somebori, you have to learn how to dance and do makeup and gele. Infact the makeup and gele videos I've watched in my life ehn. But then again, if one eyebrow goes wrong, the confidence for the day is off-balance. After all these, heels. When you see any correct girl at any owambe, the tell-tales are gele, makeup and heels well, apart from the dress itself. Did I mention the struggle to get the never-worn-before ebuka style cloth for the wedding? The wedding that is not even mine.
The jewellery nko? If na borrow sef you must to borrow and then plan. If the dress is V-necked, the necklace should not be round and all these kind yeye wahala. Perfume sef must to be on point afterall what better way to know a woman but by the way she smells, well amongst other things.
Moving on, before you get to the venue, you have to think of where you'll wear your heels, the type of soil there, is it bike or cab, the distance, the type of shoe and the number of inches, the type of crowd, etc. Then the style of dress determines the food you eat. And most of all, the high-hopes of ths probability of prospective husband. Maybe I should not have titled it owambe wahala, maybe something like "the never-ending problems of a woman:owambe" would suffice. 😣 ![IMG_2018-04-21_22-54-21.JPG] () courtesy: Google images.
